About Dr. Russell Welch

Dr. Russell Welch is an apostolic teacher, pastor, author, and founder whose life and ministry are centered upon one consuming desire: to make Jesus known, equip His people, and help prepare a mature Remnant to faithfully carry the Gospel of the Kingdom into this generation.

Together with his wife, Millette Welch, he has served in ministry for more than two decades. The ministry they co-shepherd was established in 2005 and has grown into several expressions of one central Kingdom assignment: awakening believers to their identity in Christ, restoring authentic discipleship, equipping the Ekklesia for prayer and spiritual warfare, and calling the Church back to the presence, lordship, and transforming power of Jesus Christ.

Dr. Welch is the founder of Kingdom War College, co-founder of Remnant Warrior Ministries, and Senior Pastor of Highway to Heaven Church in Jacksonville, Florida. In 2022, he was commissioned as an Apostolic Teacher by Glory of Zion International Ministries, affirming an assignment that had been forming over many years: to teach biblical truth, challenge religious systems that obscure Christ, equip believers for maturity, and help prepare sons and daughters of God for their Kingdom assignments.

His message, however, was not formed only in classrooms, pulpits, or theological study. It was forged through redemption.

Dr. Welch’s life carries a testimony of the relentless grace of God. His early years were marked by brokenness, bondage, instability, and personal struggle. Even after entering ministry, there remained areas of striving, religious performance, and internal bondage that God would eventually confront at their roots.

In the early morning hours of March 29, 2016, the Lord met him in an encounter that forever changed the trajectory of his life and ministry. In that moment, the love of the Father became more than something he could teach—it became something he personally encountered. Years of religious striving, guilt, shame, and condemnation began giving way to the revelation of beloved identity and the finished work of Jesus Christ.

That encounter reshaped his message.

Since then, Dr. Welch has carried an increasing burden to see people liberated from dead religion, hidden bondage, spiritual passivity, and powerless Christianity. His preaching and writing call believers beyond simply attending church and into the life of a surrendered disciple—men and women who know Jesus, recognize the voice of Holy Spirit, understand their identity in Christ, live from the Secret Place, and courageously fulfill their assignment in the earth.

The Radical Disciples Ministry Hub

Radical Disciples exists as a central hub for that assignment.

This is more than a blog.

It is a gathering place for believers who are hungry for deeper discipleship, biblical teaching, prayer, spiritual warfare, freedom from bondage, Kingdom identity, prophetic insight, and practical resources for walking with Jesus in everyday life.
