Radical Disciples – A Remnant Revolution

“RELIGION IS LOSING CONTROL.”

There is a shift taking place in the Church, and it is far greater than a change of style, structure, or generation. Holy Spirit is asserting His rightful authority over systems that religion has spent generations constructing, and Heaven is resetting the governing order of the Ekklesia back upon the foundation Christ Himself established.

For too long, the religious system has woven itself into nearly every corner of the Church. Personalities have become platforms. Ministries have become brands. Conferences are often built around recognizable faces, influential names, and those who have become accustomed to seeing themselves on the billboards. Somewhere along the way, the center stage that belongs exclusively to Jesus Christ became crowded with men and movements seeking visibility.

But Christ never taught His disciples to build His Kingdom around celebrity.

He taught them that the greatest would become the servant. He warned them against seeking the chief seats. He told them that the rulers of the Gentiles exercised authority over others, “but it shall not be so among you” (Matthew 20:25–26). The Kingdom model of leadership was never about prominence; it was about surrender. It was never about being seen; it was about making Him seen.

The original Ekklesia was not built around personalities. It was built upon Christ.

“He is the head of the body, the church…that in all things He might have the preeminence” (Colossians 1:18).

That word must thunder through the Church again: PREEMINENCE.

Not the preacher.
Not the apostle.
Not the prophet.
Not the denomination.
Not the ministry network.
Not the conference.
Not the movement.

CHRIST.

What erupted in the Book of Acts was not the anointing of a handful of religious celebrities. When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, “they were ALL with one accord in one place” (Acts 2:1), and Holy Spirit filled the assembled ones.

The fire rested upon each of them.

That is important.

The fire rested upon each of them, and that distinction matters because what Heaven released on the Day of Pentecost was never designed to create a spiritual class system where a few carried the anointing while the rest gathered to observe. The supernatural life of the original Ekklesia was released upon the assembled people themselves. Holy Spirit did not fall merely upon Peter, John, or those who would later become recognized leaders. Acts tells us plainly, “they were all filled with the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:4). The government of Heaven had entered an assembled people, and from that moment forward the witness of Christ would no longer be carried by one priest standing before the people, but by a Spirit-filled people carrying the presence and authority of Christ wherever they were sent.

This is part of what I believe Holy Spirit is restoring in this hour. He is dismantling the idea that the Church exists so that a few gifted personalities can minister while everyone else gathers to watch. That may have become normal to us, but it was never normal to the Ekklesia Christ birthed. The Church was never intended to become an audience gathered around an anointed personality. It was intended to be an anointed people gathered around an enthroned Christ, each member carrying a measure of His grace, His authority, His presence, and His assignment into the world around them.

Some twenty years ago, a prophetic word began moving through different streams of Christianity that a generation would arise that would be nameless and faceless, a people who would have no desire to make themselves the center of what God was doing. Whether every expression of that word was perfectly understood or not, the heart of it carried something deeply consistent with the nature of the Kingdom. There would come a people more concerned with revealing the Son than promoting themselves, more interested in the glory of Christ than the recognition of their own names, and more willing to disappear behind the assignment than to build an identity around being the one who carried it.

I believe we are entering the hour where that word is beginning to take on flesh. Heaven has rendered a verdict against everything that has attempted to occupy the place of Christ within His own Church, and the shaking we are witnessing is not random. It is exposing foundations, motives, structures, and identities that could survive only while the attention remained upon men. Hebrews 12:26–27 speaks of a shaking in which those things that can be shaken are removed so that what cannot be shaken may remain. There are systems within Christianity that have become so familiar to us that we assume they must be biblical simply because they have existed for generations, yet familiarity does not make something Kingdom.

This shaking, however, should not be understood merely as destruction. There is mercy in what God is doing. The Father is not tearing apart His Church; He is freeing His Church from that which has attached itself to her identity. Holy Spirit is exposing what religion built so that Christ may once again become unmistakably central. He is confronting every structure that has made the personality of the preacher greater than the presence of the King, every ministry culture that has trained people to follow a name rather than follow Christ, and every system that has confused influence with authority and visibility with fruitfulness.

The reset taking place is therefore much deeper than changing the appearance of our services or rearranging the language we use. Holy Spirit is resetting governing authority. Ephesians 2:20 tells us that the household of God is “built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.” The foundation was never a denomination, a movement, a network, a conference circuit, or a personality. Christ Himself is the cornerstone, and everything that is truly apostolic must ultimately bring the Body back into alignment with Him.

That means we are going to see leadership begin to look more like what Jesus taught His disciples and less like what institutional religion has rewarded. Apostles will be recognized not because they have built the largest personal platforms, but because they have established Christ in people and regions. Prophets will be known not by how dramatic their words sound, but by whether those words turn hearts toward the Lord. Shepherds will again carry the smell of the sheep because they have walked among them rather than simply spoken over them. Teachers will reveal Christ instead of using revelation to establish intellectual superiority. Evangelists will not merely count decisions, but will labor to see men and women brought into the transforming life of the Kingdom.

And perhaps most importantly, the people of God themselves will begin to awaken again to the reality that they were never called to remain spectators. The same Holy Spirit who filled the upper room still inhabits His people. The same Spirit who empowered ordinary fishermen, mothers, merchants, servants, travelers, and households has not changed His intention. The New Testament Church expanded because the assembled ones became the sent ones, carrying Christ into streets, homes, marketplaces, cities, and nations. The fire spread because it was never intended to remain confined to a platform.

That is why I believe what is coming will not be recognized first by how impressive it appears, but by how completely it belongs to Christ. There will be men and women whose names may never become widely known, yet their obedience will shift entire communities. There will be intercessors who never stand behind a microphone but whose prayers alter the spiritual climate of cities. There will be believers in homes, businesses, schools, neighborhoods, and forgotten places who carry more Kingdom authority than many who possess public recognition. Heaven has never measured significance the way religious culture has measured it.

This is the beginning of a Holy Ghost-led Remnant Revolution, but we must understand what makes it revolutionary. It is not another movement being created so that another group can claim to possess what everyone else has missed. It is a return. It is the Church being brought back to the original intention of her King. It is Christ taking His rightful place as Head, Holy Spirit resuming His rightful place as Governor, and the Ekklesia recovering her identity as a living, functioning, Spirit-filled Body rather than a religious audience gathered around professional ministry.

We should therefore not be surprised when the shaking intensifies, because anything that has depended upon human prominence will resist a move of God that removes prominence from the equation. Systems built around personalities will feel threatened when Christ becomes the only personality that matters. Structures built around control will resist the freedom of Holy Spirit. Ministries that have confused ownership with stewardship will struggle when the King begins reclaiming what was always His. Yet none of this should frighten the Remnant, because the purpose of the shaking is not to leave the Church without order; it is to restore divine order.

The Father is bringing His household back under the government of His Son. Holy Spirit is awakening the assembled ones. The Ekklesia is being reminded that she was never created merely to attend services, support ministries, admire gifted leaders, and wait for someone else to carry the fire. She was created to become the dwelling place of God by the Spirit, a people through whom the life, authority, character, and Kingdom of Christ could be made visible upon the earth.

Heaven has rendered its verdict, and the reset has already begun. What religion spent generations building around men is being brought beneath the authority of Christ, and what Holy Spirit is birthing will not require the faces of men to sustain it. The coming Ekklesia will not be nameless because identity has no value, nor faceless because leadership has no place, but because no human name and no human face will again be permitted to occupy the center that belongs to the Son.

This is not the end of the Church. It is the recovery of the Church.

It is not the destruction of leadership. It is the purification of leadership.

It is not rebellion against order. It is Heaven restoring order.

And when the Ekklesia is once again established upon her original foundation, with Christ as the cornerstone, Holy Spirit as the governing presence, and every assembled believer awakened to their place within the Body, we may discover that the supernatural fire we have spent generations reading about in Acts was never intended to remain locked inside the pages of history. It was the original design of the Church, and Holy Spirit is calling us back to it now.
