Part One of a Three Part Remnant Series

The hour opens with a thunderous intensity because the spirit of religion has once again overplayed its hand, just as it did when it hurled its full fury at Jesus. It weaponized tradition, manipulated Scripture, and stirred political pressure, yet “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5). That same ancient spirit now prowls through the modern Church, seeking to blind the sons and daughters of Yahweh from even believing they have an inheritance on this side of the grave. Leonard Ravenhill once warned, “The greatest miracle God can do today is to take an unholy man out of an unholy world and make him holy,” and that miracle is precisely what religion fears. The Remnant is awakening to the truth that the Cross remains the eternal verdict: Jesus triumphed, religion failed, and the Kingdom is advancing with unstoppable force.

This manifesto begins with the exposure of a masquerade that has deceived multitudes. The spirit of religion has dressed itself in lights, stages, fog machines, and celebrity pulpits, offering a polished counterfeit of the faith once delivered to the saints. It has filled the stage with actors who perform rather than shepherd, who entertain rather than equip, who laugh behind the scenes as they and their cohorts rake in millions while the sheep starve for discernment. Mario Murillo has said, “A powerless church cannot defeat a powerful devil,” and the powerless church is the one religion prefers. Scripture commands, “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits” (1 John 4:1), a discipline long abandoned in houses built on applause rather than altar fire.

The tragedy is not merely deception—it is malnourishment. Generations have been raised without the fundamentals of spiritual warfare, without the sharpening of Hebrews 5:14, which declares that maturity comes by “constant use” of discernment. Instead, the masses have been trained to spectate rather than war, to consume rather than contend, to admire personalities rather than pursue Presence. David Wilkerson once lamented, “The gospel that costs nothing is worth nothing,” and that warning now echoes like thunder over a slumbering Church. The Remnant is rising because they have tasted the emptiness of entertainment-driven Christianity and found it powerless against the darkness of this age.

The shaking of the last three years has not been random—it has been surgical. Heaven has been tearing down the scaffolding of man-made religion, exposing the cracks, revealing the rot, and calling forth a people who refuse to bow to the golden calves of Christian celebrity culture. Ravenhill once said, “The Church right now has more fashion than passion, more pathetic than prophetic,” and the shaking has revealed just how true that statement remains. But the shaking is not destruction—it is purification. It is the refining fire that separates gold from dross, truth from deception, and sons from slaves.

The Remnant Ecclesia is emerging from this shaking with a clarity that cannot be manipulated. They are stepping out of the tombs of tradition, shaking off the grave clothes of man-made expectations, and walking in the authority of true sonship. They are reclaiming the ancient paths of prayer, fasting, holiness, and spiritual warfare. Mario Murillo declared, “When the Church rises in true power, hell panics,” and hell is indeed panicking now. The Remnant is done playing games.

Heaven has dispatched angelic hosts to partner with this rising company. The Captain of the Lord’s Armies is marching at the front, confronting every stronghold that has exalted itself against the knowledge of God. The cry of Heaven is echoing once again: “Let My people go.” This is not a whisper—it is a roar. Every religious structure that has enslaved God’s people with guilt, shame, performance, or manipulation is being confronted by the fire of divine liberation.

This manifesto is a declaration that the masquerade is over. The Remnant sees the fog machines, the choreographed worship sets, the polished sermons, and the celebrity pulpits—and they discern the difference between performance and Presence. They recognize that the spirit of religion has offered a counterfeit Christianity that requires no repentance, no consecration, no cross, and no fire. Wilkerson once said, “A diluted gospel is no gospel at all,” and the Remnant refuses to drink from polluted wells. They are returning to the purity of the Word, the fire of the Spirit, and the authority of the Cross.

The Remnant is rising with eyes that burn through the façade. They have grown weary of hollow rituals, powerless sermons, and entertainment-driven gatherings that never confront sin or awaken destiny. They are rediscovering the power of the Word, not as a script to recite but as a sword to wield. Ravenhill once wrote, “Are the things you are living for worth Christ dying for?” and that question now pierces the conscience of a generation. The Remnant answers with their lives, not merely their lips.

This rising company is not motivated by rebellion but by revelation. They are not leaving the Church—they are restoring it. They are not rejecting leadership—they are rejecting manipulation. They are not abandoning the faith—they are returning to its original fire. Mario Murillo has said, “The moment the Church stops playing games, the fire of God will fall,” and the Remnant has stopped playing.

And now, to those still bound in the chains of religion—hear this gentle yet piercing appeal: the prison doors are already open. The Cross has already broken the yoke. The Spirit is already calling you into the wide-open spaces of grace, identity, and Kingdom purpose. You do not have to perform for acceptance; you are accepted in the Beloved. Step out of the shadows of religion and into the radiance of sonship, for the same Jesus who defeated religion then is defeating it now in you.
