And from him, the whole body constructed and joined in every joint, according to a gift given in measure to every member for his growth of the body, that his building may be completed in love. (Eph 4:16)

hand_in_worship-preview

Have you ever really looked at a hand – the four fingers and the thumb – all different in size and even shaped differently yet together they function in beautiful harmony.

Now if you cut one or more away, the hand doesn’t function to it’s full capacity – one of the fingers and or thumb must over react to make the adjustment for the missing member. Something else, when they are all there they number 5, Grace – even as when they are all there working according to their design, there is a beautiful gracefulness about them.

Now, I have seen people who are missing one or more, I’ve also seen people who have had all of them yet because of nerve damage or arthritis they suffer as they members seem to have a mind of there own.

Sadly today the Body at large is suffering because of each member desiring to do its own thing. Everyone feels that they each have a call to do their “own” ministry. Yet when you look at the teachings of Jesus, the Book of Acts, and the writings of Paul, they speak of anything but a “single ministry” mentality – they truthfully speak of team work, family and unity.

“My ministry” sound so selfishly self-serving and self centered….

This “my ministry” mentality has caused great damage to the body when the Biblical truth is that we each need each other and until we can put down our pride, erase wrong teaching and become united in unity with one mind, but to please the Father the body and the world will continue to suffer the loss of what Jesus created and Holy Spirit seeks to continue.

I use to have the “my ministry” mindset or sometimes I would refer to it being “My wife and I’s ministry”. Yet now I cringe when people put that label on me, for in all truth it is HIS ministry which is purposed to flow through myself and those whom the Father has purposed me to serve with.

Where ever you are, stop being a single ministry minded servant and seek out the very people the Lord has purposed you to serve with (Not over) that the Body may be whole, functioning according the the Lords design, each a very important member yet no more important greater than the members the Father has purposed you to be joined too. For then we shall see the Father being pleased and the world shall see His Glory shine forth.

This is HIS Kingdom and we all are Co-heirs, fellow citizens re-birthed as adopted children of the Father but to worship Him in Truth & Love and walk in His lavishing love poured out on us each equally..

Let us be the generation that puts an end to the spiritual arthritis in the Body and become united in Christ minded ministry……

The New Testament out-lines what a gathering looks like and sadly many miss this. Either that or they are taught that the model of today is the true model.

Here is what I believe we find one looks like according to scripture;

Is it a Kingdom gathering if its in a large Cathedral or Mega Church setting?

No, not necessarily yet the Lord can still move within one.

Is it only in a house sitting?

No, not necessarily although because of persecution this is how they met in the New Testament. And I personally believe that in small groups, connected through out a town, city or even State can be far more productive and cost effective.

Does it have a pastor?

No, not in the manner for which most Churches operate today. The New Testament model shows a plurality of leaders (elders). But this by no means warrants that a group must not have a teacher or one who is matured as an elder who the Lord is using to disciple others into the elder’s role. (Acts 2:42-47) Much like what Jesus himself had taught them (Luke 9:1-6), (Matt 10:1-16)

Do they collect offering’s?

Yes, they should collect an offering to go into the StoreHouse of the Lord which can be used for many purposes with regard to those who gather together as well as fund missions from within the group. The storehouse can also assist the needs of those whom the Lord puts on the hearts of the group. This does not mean that the group needs to support a sole individual who wants to be their “Leader” which is a mark of many groups and Churches today. I am not saying that one who is called to ministry is not entitled to receive money to support them as there is a Biblical principle as well. That is a different story. I know of people who started a house group (Church) and then forces their bills upon the group in a manner for which the group is manipulated through guilt into supporting them. Paul set the high road about this subject and a diligent student will go study what I mean. The positive thing in regard to meeting in private homes is that no money is wasted on rent or mortgages.

Lessons from my personal study:

I’ve spent the better part of a decade and a half studying the Kingdom Model and I’ve seen the good, the bad and the ugly. Regretfully the good have been far in between. I attended groups that merely sit around and complain about the big Church and bring no Glory to the Lord and sadly they are generally are simply a smaller model of what they are complaining about.

I have witnessed some that morphed into a secluded group of believers who don’t evangelize and are totally scared of “Out-siders” coming in and contaminating their group. This is scary and cultish as they general end up with a single leader.

I have also witnessed a few that are onto something and this is generally found in persecuted nations but there are a few as well which are thinly spread out across America. These group are tapping into the Kingdom culture and the Lord is beginning to really move. Although, right now it may well be considered a remnant of sorts. I have heard from others and believe myself that in the coming months, especially here in America it will begin to swell in momentum as the “Mega-Churches” have been draining the Nations storehouse to support their personal kingdom agenda’s which require mega mortgages and salaried staff to keep the machine operating. The Spirit is opening the spiritual eyes of many. In these groups, we find that unlike the Mega type Church, these Kingdom gatherings have a plurality of leadership, taking turns teaching and all the gifts operating within the group.

2000-paul-the-apostle-1

When we tap into the scriptures we read how the early Church gathered from house to house, how the Apostles planted (discipled) teachers, evangelist, prophets and pastors (elders) and then moved onto the next home to reproduce. You can visibly see the “Gifts” of the Spirit operating in each group. Were they perfect? No, yet today we have their mistakes to learn from and with a greater understanding of the Pauline revelations he received through Holy Spirit. One can see where there was Unity, the Glory of the Lord was present. Unity comes when a group of people are of one-mind and who are seeking to glorify the Lord and not worried about who is the leader, how they are going to pay the mortgage, who is going to do this and do that. In fact, they were not worried about the government of the world or the culture around them because they all knew that they were commissioned to represent the Kingdom government of Jesus and to release the culture of the Kingdom, being an influence of grace & love rather than being influenced by greed and immorality.

We know from scripture that when they gathered it was centered around Jesus, often with songs, praise and worship along with teaching. (Col 3:16). More than likely, upon a deep study of the scriptures and what scholars state, their meeting consisted of worship, practice of Spiritual gifts, teaching, prayer, fellowship, the Lord’s supper and Baptism.

We know based on historical facts that most homes were in fact apartments for the most part consisting of one or two rooms there were however a few that may have owned a single home structure yet this was not the norm in that day. Of course, back then a whole family lived there and often even sons with their wives. A custom unlike what we in America are accustomed to although in recent years because of economic hardships it is be coming a not so uncommon practice here. So more than likely these groups were not larger than 15 to 20 persons which then would break off to form another group, yet they were still connected in one form or other.

Upon images-10studying the house meeting structure of the New Testament, many are amazed at how fast Paul developed leaders. Of course, upon reading scripture we find than generally the person who opened their home were considered leaders and others blossomed around them.

Paul speaks of this in first Thessalonians 5:12-13, yet he does not attach “titles” to them. Again, we see that leadership pretty much developed organically.

Now, nowhere in the New Testament can one find a picture that closely resembles any of the fully developed systems at play in the main stream Church today. Back then “Church” government was not highly developed, and the local gatherings were a rather loosely knit group. These small gatherings did however exist side-by-side with other house groups. We can pretty much gather from the scriptures that these believers saw themselves as part of a greater city-wide family of believers. Ministry from these groups was fluid and dynamic. Members were encouraged to experience their spiritual gifts for the common good of the Body, and leaders operated as gifted men and women. This led to many opportunities for ordinary people to develop into leaders. (Rom 12:6-8; 1 Cor 12:8-10, 27-28)

hqdefault-3I believe that even as we see more and more open verbal and legal attacks against the Church and Christians in America and abroad, if one is truly tuned into what the Spirit is speaking, they to shall find the Father calling the Bride to journey back in time to apply the values and ministry practices found in the New Testament. While house to house ministry might look different today, many of the same Biblical principles apply and will help us to not only begin to disciple others, who go on to disciple others, we will also see the body coming back into unity and with that the Glory of the Lord shall once again be seen across this nation and through-out the world. Even if it is a remnant that begins, the fire will spread even as did through the first century Church.

Again,  I believe I have heard and learned through Holy Spirit in scripture as well as to what I have personally witnessed, this is what a Kingdom meeting does look like. Let us pray that the Bride awakens in this generation in this hour for His purpose.

I will be writing more on this topic in the coming months and welcome anyone else’s thoughts and insight as well.

Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:33)

God’s kingdom is lived from the perspective of heaven, not earth. That’s why Jesus said, “Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).

What far too many Christians do is mix a little of God with a lot of the world. Is this something that you have done? Have you wound up experiencing less of God because His kingdom is not of this world? When you bring the world into the Word, you are asking the King to bless something that His kingdom is not a part of, and He won’t do it.

If you lose sight of the kingdom, God’s perspective gets lost and you start focusing on the tangible and temporal things in life. When that happens, your judgment begins to be skewed and your decisions become shortsighted. Rather than living out your destiny and purpose, you may end up with wasted time, effort, energy, and emotions.

Yet when God’s kingdom is prioritized, you get to see heaven both rule and overrule in your life. You will witness God trump circumstances and people that you thought had the last word. Only God has the last word. You get to experience Him at a whole other level when you experience Him as King.

For His Kingdom.

Tony Evans

REFLECTION: How can a Christian prioritize God’s Word and His kingdom? How can we experience earth from a heavenly perspective? Where are earthly circumstances over- whelming your own vision and blocking your view of God? How can you change this?

Father, I want to experience You as King in my life. Reveal to me where I am looking to the world’s way rather than Your way in my thoughts, decisions, and actions. Help me to align all of these underneath Your Word so that I can benefit from the covering of Your covenant and kingdom. In Christ’s Name, Amen.

DisciplesMadeBlog                                                    I read this from a man who was seeking a position in ministry:

I don’t want to sound negative here but you guys must be living in a different world than me. I am trying to get a job in the ministry and no one will hire me because I can’t and don’t want to disciple people…….Think about it, when I was growing up in the 60’s and 70’s we had Sunday school and worship. There were no groups or special programs yet people were more devoted than they are now.

My response to him was:

In response to your post –

Discipleship is the very core of following Jesus – In fact Jesus gave a command that was issued to His disciples standing before Him and unto every disciple after them until His return – “Go into every Nation…… and make disciples……”

The fact that all that happened in the 60’s, 70″ and 80’s was Sunday school and Church is what has left us with the generation we are dealing with now. Yes, they may have been more dedicated to “their Church” but they greatly lacked in being dedicated to the advancing the Kingdom. It was during that time that eastern teachings crept into the Church, self-help books where starting to be written, a generation of “spiritual consumers” were being raised up to consume everything at the alter but share it with none, like a plague of locust they sought to eat up everything in their path in the sphere of the spiritual which truthfully caused more spiritual damage and droughts that anything good..

Not, all Christians or Churches where that way but the majority them were and enough to allow the enemy a greater entrance in our society. I know, for I come from that generation being born in the early 60″, the generation that slept or was too busy indulging themselves at spiritual shmorgishborgs of self-realization while abortion was legalized and the Bible & prayer in schools were outlawed. When liberalism began to rewrite our schools text books and nothing was said or done. We can blame the present spiritual atmosphere of the Church and this nation on Satan all we want but the reality is the watchmen of the previous generation were too busy about their own business rather than that of the Fathers. O’ there where some who cried out the warnings but like Israel of Old the people silenced them and sought a good word even if it was from a false prophet.

Father, awaken Your Bride that she be not found asleep and guilty of losing another generation.

The failure of one generation carries over into the next, the same as the blessings of one generation can carry over. That was a season of bless me, bless me Lord, whereas a true Kingdom identified generation will not seek selfishly after the blessing of the Lord, they will, with a great depth of hunger, cry out asking the Father to allow them to be a blessing unto Him.

Let us who are alive today in this generation of the Lord seek to be His blessing which covers the earth.

It is time for the Lords prayer warriors to jump into action – Let the trumpets calling for action be heard from every mountain top – May the Roar of the Lion of Judah be heard throughout the middle east shaking the mountains and valleys throughout the region and around the world…

Let us remember to pray continually for our brothers & sisters in the faith who are under sever persecution for their faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. As well let us pray for their strength and may their determination to serve Jesus and refusal to deny Him even unto death be used to see their persecutors come to serve Jesus.

– I pray that every evil scheme of ISIS and other terrorist organizations are exposed and defeated.

– I pray for the radical salvation of the leaders ALL terrorist organizations.

– I pray that every curse and attempt of Hell to harm our brothers and sisters is sent, voided out back to Hell where they belong.

– I pray that every door open that funds these Islamic terrorist and all other terrorist organizations are closed and that all revenue resource to arm them is dried up and that such wealth be transfered in to the banks accounts of the Righteous.

Are you prepared to do battle?

spiritual-warfare-prayer

We are surrounded by radical terrorism and radical terrorist groups globally. Every nation is plagued by radical terrorist or terrorism in one form or another. Even in here in America we have radical Islamic terrorist cell groups, Islamic Mosques popping up and peppering the skylines in almost every major city and even in small town USA. If we are completely honest we have to admit that we’re even are in a battle with the terrorism of radical liberals seeking to destroy our nation form within, dismantling our Constitution and religious freedoms.

Face the facts folks, we have a extremely liberal president who applauds and praises Islam while at the same time has been criticizing and even out rightly despising Christianity. We have a president who openly disrespects our only true Allie and Gods own nation Israel while he invites extreme radical Muslims into the White House and meetings. He has  even gone so far as to have appointed some to top cabinet positions. Yet Christ does not call us to hate the man, actually just the opposite as He calls us to love. In fact He calls us to love him even as we love ourselves so please, let us all pray for his salvation as well has that of his families.

Fellow saints, let us remember that our fight is not against flesh & blood (Eph 6:12). Our prayers prayed in the power of Holy Spirit are mightier than any weapon man can build (Zech 4:6). We must use the authority given to us in Christ to render on earth what has been decreed in Heaven (Matt 16:19)and we know the decree of the Father for all of His Children (Jer 29:11)

We can not sit back and hope that the governments of this world will stop that which is in all honesty a spiritual war manifesting in the natural. We must go to war in the Spirit on behalf of our brothers & sister around the world. The worlds government can fill the air with their jets and missiles as they have been and still the enemy marches on. But when we, the saints of God, His governmental authorities here on earth fill the atmosphere with anointed missiles of prayer, Hell will be pushed back.

So let His prayer warriors arise around the globe and again let us bind the hands of the enemy here on earth and release the authoritative rule of Jesus Christ over their lives (Matt 16:19). Let us spend time fasting and praying for His Mighty Angels to stand in victory over the defeat of all wicked rulers of darkness, every principality and every one of Hells agents below them – pray that they be exposed and defeated. Pray that every work of Hell behind ISIS, all of Islam and other terrorist organizations be brought down in defeat to the Praise, Glory and Honor of our Lord.

Our minds must not be on what we see or hear on the news or read in the papers. We must not be intimidated by these terrorist for they are but puppets in Hells hands. Remember dear brothers and sister that we serve a God whose angelic armies are encamped around His saints (2 Kings 6:17). We may be in this world but our authority comes from He is over all.

The silence must end

EC5502-006

We have remained silent for too long. We have seen abortion on demand become law, when we had the authority (and still do) to see it defeated. We have witnessed the gay rights take over the land with gay marriages in almost every state and even being taught as an alternative life style in our schools, when we had (and still do) the authority to bind these laws from being enacted. We have witnessed the court’s ruling against the rights of our Christian faith, when we had the authority (and still do) to see judges put into place who would rule based upon our rights and that of the constitution. We have the authority to pray in righteous leaders and pray out those who are opposed to God.

We have the authority to bind wickedness in the Houses of God in this nation, the perversion of the Gospel, the false grace, the ungodly false prosperity doctrines and the prostitution (using it for personal gain) of the pulpits. We have the authority in Christ Jesus to call for the Winds of Pentecost to blow across this land, exposing the vileness taking place in His Church, to call forth Holy Spirit to release a Holy Conviction upon Gods people, that they repent, crying out to Him for forgiveness and seeing His mercy and grace once again falling upon the nation as He releases a national revolutionary Spiritual reformation that will cleanse His House and heal this nation (2 Chron 7:14).

Awake for the time is upon us

The time for the Bride to awake is NOW, sound the alarm, the battle has already begun, the enemy has entered through the main gate. We still have time to push the enemy out, to claim that which rightfully belongs to our King, to see a nation on the verge of becoming a goat nation turned into a Sheep nation in the eyes of our Holy Father in Heaven. But we MUST get our eyes off from the things of this world and turn them back to where they belong, upon our Lord, Savior, King and Master Jesus Christ. Let us die to our dreams, our agenda’s and to our selfishness and pick up the cross that our Lord has called us to pick up and wage war having had our hearts purified and hands cleansed  free of the defilement of this world and the renewing of our minds in Christ (Rom 12:2).

No banner but the banner of the Lord

the_lord_is_my_banner_by_itschocohere-d5lcz23

We must surrender our allegiance to anything of this earth, even our denominational banners and walk under His Banner alone!

Arise and let this be the generation that pulls down the idols in the high places of this nation that Christ may reign from the north to the south and east to the west.  Repent, be washed anew, arise and go into the a battle for our brothers and sisters around the world need to see the lighted city upon the hill. We have the authority in Christ but we can only walk in that authority by positioning ourselves under the complete rule of His Lordship.

Brothers & sisters in Christ – it’s time to stop the infighting, needless battles over whose denomination is right, who is reading the to correct translation, and sadly the list goes on. It’s to time to join together bonded in the Love of Christ, walking peacefully with each other and being about the Fathers business, for we must unite and we must united in the Love of Christ – for then the world will truly see that we are His disciples (John 13:35). If we want to be real and truthful we have to realize that the Lord Jesus Christ is looking for such a people – who are radically in Love with Him, who can radically love their neighbors and fellow believers. He is seeking those who are willing to make radical sacrifices for His Glory, who are willing to radically worship Him and pray radical prayers that the Father may receive all the Glory, Honor and Praise. For our King Jesus has won the victory and He seeks a radical people who are willing not to merely read His Word but a people who are willing to radically LIVE His Word, allowing it to be manifested through their lives to the world with Holy Righteousness!!!

Are you ready to get Radical?

radicalchristian

Are you the radical disciple the Lord and the Father is calling for in this hour? Are you willing to radically believe in His Word and His promises? Are you radical enough to say “Jesus – let me experience the ‘Greater things than these’ in our generation for Your Glory alone? Are you willing to give up your pride, your identity, your dreams, your personal agenda’s, your possessions, humility and even your name to take no name but that of a “servant of the Lord”?

Truly if one has read the Bible with spiritual eyes open they will see that radical disciple of Christ is not one who merely reads the Red Letters in their Bible – The radical disciple of Christ is one who lives their life based upon the Red Letters of Christ. Knowing that Jesus taught with no grey area to twist or question what He said or meant – To be a true disciple of Jesus is as He stated, to Obey ALL that He He has said (John 14:12-21). In all honesty a radical Christian is really a normal Christian as seen by the first century believers. We have strayed so far away from normal Christianity according to that of the Book of Acts believers that it seems way over the top radical for us to even imagine living such a life in our day.

The time is now, The Roar of the Lion of Judah has been released – Awake O sleeper for you have been destined for a time such as this!!!!

Are you ready to be radical for Jesus?

If you said yes then your ready to truly be His disciple

…..Welcome to His Kingdom

….Time to put your armor on for you have now entered the Battle Zone!!!!

~ Russ Welch

Personal Note:

I personally like the definition of radical:  of, relating to, or proceeding from a root: as a (1) :  of or growing from the root of a plant <radical tubers> as it reminds me of John 15:5 “For I am the Vine you are the branches”, So we, being His radical disciples are being grown from the root of His teachings by the Mercy & Grace of the Father, being instructed and guided by Holy Spirit to become His disciples according to His teachings by which our lives (as true followers) are defined.

Nehemiah_Project_Image

The Lord awoke me this morning at 4:00 am with the following message:

Let us pray that the spirit of Nehemiah comes upon the Church in America that we stand with a trowel in one hand and a sword in another. For we must continue to advance the Kingdom message in this nation while at the same time war against the anti-Christ spirit that is over taken it.

The hour is urgent let us pray that Holy Ghost wakes up the sleeping Bride for we may be living in the worlds cultures but we live by the culture of the Kingdom of Heaven. Let us not be fooled for if one looks across the Christian landscape in America with spiritual eyes open we would with righteous judgement see that the culture of the world has invaded its walls.

We must end the silence which is woven in the spirit of cowardice as many seek to avoid the very persecution our Lord stated we would face. I fear that some in the Church have had their mouths shut for fear of losing their 501 C 3 status if they were to speak out against the political rage against Christianity. Is not our God all sufficient or are we no better than Judas in that we are willing to sell out the Lord for a few coins?

The Church to a large degree has been silent in recent years over such issues as the abortion issue and have foolishly left it in the hands of the same political system that has removed the Bible and prayer from school. Just recently a few towns from where I live a youth in school was disciplined for saying God bless in the morning announcements. Where was the Church? Should they not have been at the door of school protesting against this statement against our God?

The Church as well has remained silent in the face of the gay agenda that has swept across this land forcing changes in the definition of marriage with some denominations actually shaking its fist in the face of a Holy God proclaiming the worlds ways are above His and condoning homosexual marriage within its own house.

Sodom and Gomorrah would be justified to ask the Lord where is His justice concerning the sins of this nation for we have as a nation become as bad if not worse than they.

It is time for Kingdom men to take their rightful place and stand up against the erosive cultural wave that has invaded the Houses of God across this nation. It is time for a Spiritual revolution that will open the doors of Heaven to see the winds of a Spiritual reformation blowing across this land.

We live in a day when many of our seminaries have sold out to the ways of the world to where they are more concerned with training business men to run the Church rather than men who have worn knees from the hours spent in the prayer closet seeking the will of the Father. Warring in the Spirit for this generation and standing against spiritual wickedness that seeks to tare down the very constitution of this nation that was formed to protect our rights to worship our God in public and private.

I would encourage all to read Bonhoeffer’s “Cost of discipleship” for the political spirit in this present hour in this nation is closely aligned to that of Germany in his day when the Church in Germany embraced the political change out of fear as well as greed.

Has the main stream Church’s in this nation been lulled to sleep out of the desires of worldly wealth while at the same time trading it in for the anointing and blessing of our Lord? Let the Word be the judge though I discern that the scale of such judgement would not be tipped in favor of this present Church generation. We have whole Christian TV stations sold out to the riches of this world propping up their prophets/ puppets of the false prosperity and false grace gospel attracting and getting rich from the masses with tickling ears running to hear a sweet message while at the same time cutting off support to our brothers in sisters in other nations as well as in this nation who need our financial support. Does not James make the statement that sending one away in need with but a prayer was seen as though we’ve done nothing at all (James 2:16)

Have we traded in the treasures of Heaven for the riches of this world? Is Christ our Lord not more precious than anything this world has to offer?

What will it take to wake up the Bride in this hour? Or will she remain in a sleep, silent to what is warring around us til she wakes up to find that it is no longer legal to be a Christian in this nation? Or is the American Church the Laodiceans Church spoken of on the Book of Revelations:

And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. (Rev 3:14-18)

If so, then let us repent for there is still a window open though it is swiftly closing. Let us hear the Word of the Lord:

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches (Rev 3:19-22)

For again looking out across the Christian landscape of this nation I liken it to the House of Israel in Ezek 10 as I witnessed in the Spirit, the Lord removing His presence and Glory for many Houses in this nation leaving them spiritual dry & cold with but dead religion. Let us cry out for the Breath of His Spirit to blow upon these dry old bones (Ezek 37:1-14)!!!

The hour is now, and the hour is urgent and we must pray that the Spirit wake up those in who are a sleep in a drunken stupor caused by the spirit of this world for they have drank in the lie of a false security in the riches of this world. Awake an repent seeking the guidance of the Spirit of the Living God to re-position us in the will of the Father that we may gear up in the Spiritual armor that He has prepared for us and let us advance empowered by His anointed Grace and take back what the enemy has stolen. Let us rebuild the Spiritual walls which once defined this nation as a nation unto God. Let us awake and see that we have been slumbered into a sleep while the enemy has been transforming us from a sheep into a goat.

The Lord has already won the Battle for us, He has already overcome the prince of wickedness in this world yet we confess the sin of a rebellious spirit & repent with to commitment to not bowing to anything or anyone save the Lord God Almighty that we may stand in the victory He has already won. Let us turn back to the Word of God, allowing it to bath us in its purity that our hearts and hands may be cleaned.

Musicians of the Lord, take to the walls and sound the alarm – Let us rise up to war in the Spirit till His House throughout this nation is cleansed from false shepherds, false prophets, and false doctrines and let us disciple the next generation in the Way of our Lord that they too may stand, not wavering if our Lord so chooses to tarry til His return.

There is til time though it be short to re-build the Spiritual walls from which our nation had and was a blessing unto other nations. As well we must war in the Spirit that we remain a nation who blesses and supports Israel. So again let us pray for the Spiritual winds of a national Spiritual revolutionary reformation blow across this land, raising up a generation who hates sin and fears none God, bowing not to the cultural attractions of this world but rather serves God in all truthfulness.

Father, we pray right now that even as You rose up Nehemiah in Ancient Israel, so rise up Nehemiah’s across this land in this hour and may all to the praise, glory and honor of Your Great Name.

THE KING’S SERVANTS

My Kingdom is not of this world. If My Kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My Kingdom is not of this realm. (John 18:36)

Too many believers today are trying to find fulfillment and significance through human means. They are trying to discover their destinies through man’s methods. However, man’s methods have never accomplished God’s goals. Jesus revealed that fully when He answered Pilate straightforwardly. Jesus said, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If My Kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My Kingdom is not of this realm” ( John 18:36).

In essence, He said, “My method reflects My source.” As believers, we are called to be in the world, but not of the world. Similarly, a boat is made to be in the water but not of the water. If the boat begins to be of the water and starts taking on water inside of it, it will soon go down.

To be in the world and yet not of the world means that worldliness does not define your decisions, relationships, priorities, or even the cadence of how you flow. The King and His kingdom controls your methodology. You seek Him first.

For His Kingdom.

01-handcuffed-to-money

In 1 Timothy, we read the words Paul writes, “Those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs” (1 Timothy 6: 9-10).

We need to be clear here, money is not evil by nature. We also need to use spiritual wisdom, money in the hands of sinful people—even the righteous—can be dangerous, deadly, or even damning.

In the scriptures we read where Jesus himself says, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!” (Mark 10: 23, NIV).

Yet so many, due to the abundance of prosperity messages out their seem to file away what Jesus is attempting to say here. In fact our fleshly nature will run from Church to Church, teacher to teacher in search of the one who will boldly proclaim that Jesus didn’t really mean it the way that it sounds. And sadly a large majority of Christians in the western Church just don’t believe Jesus on this one. Most people in our culture—and in the church—believe wealth is always a sign of blessing from God, and we have almost no category for understanding wealth with a wrong heart is a barrier to God. I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard pastors make this claim in defense of their lavish life styles and could fill a moderate town with their followers who will run to their defense. With the wealth of freedom we have in this nation to possess Bibles and the right to study them it shocks me how so many are so easily deceived.

Just as 1 Timothy says, money can be a powerful snare. If we look across the Christian landscape in America alone we can see how this snare has entrapped Gods people leaving them enslaved to the lenders to such a degree that they can’t find peace, are unable to help others in need, can not support missions and missionaries and some are so filled with the fear of financial loss they can’t even tithe. We also see how such a lfestyle robs their children of the joy of spending time with mom and dad as they are pre-occupied with working more hours with the hope of just paying the bills on time. Even more saddness is added to this within the fact that many are raising their children with a false understanding of faith and or causing a spiritual dysfunction in the family as their desire for more money is like an idol demanding all the worship.

The modern day prosperity message has allowed the seduction of money to imprison Gods people by the masses.. We think, I want more, but we don’t realize that the desire for more is a trap. With the hunger for “more” the creation of an appetite that will never satisfy is birthed and it grows into a baby all in on itself with a 24 hr feeding schedule as it can not get enough. Blindly as we indulge in this desire, we are shut off from seeing how it destroys our spiritual lives bit by bit. Sadly for many it may destroys them forever. Now just in case you missed the Word of God earlier, hear it again: the desire for riches “plunge[ s] people into ruin and destruction.”

Praise God, for He has not left us in the dark for we find in His Word a remedy to the allure of money. Right before these warnings in 1 Timothy, God speaks to us in His Word that, “Godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content ” (6: 6-8). So again Praise God for these words, as our loving Father prescribes the antidote: a simple life of contentment that prioritizes necessities and minimizes luxuries. Paul says the same thing in 2 Corinthians 8– 9, where we learn that God provides enough for us (2 Cor 9:8) and excess for others (2 Cor 9:11).

Make no mistake brothers and sisters, the gospel compels us to humbly identify what is enough for us in order to freely give away our excess to others. By voluntarily surrendering our riches for others’ good, we avoid the snare and enjoy the contentment that these describes.

The question is are we willing to allow Holy Spirit to train us up in these Words. Are we willing to humbly look to Him to bring our minds in to conformity of what the scriptures call us to do – live a simple life.

spirit-led

I can remember as a young Christian I was compelled to seek the Spirit in all matters. Then as I started earning my degrees and hanging out with “seasoned” ministers I started making decisions based upon what I had learned and or heard from the experiences of others. All the while I thought I was doing great with one exception – I noticed that I was having little effect in reaching others with the Gospel and those whom I counseled who were Christians didn’t seem to get any break-thru’s.

In 2010 when I stepped down from leading a ministry I had started in 2004 in order to begin serving as an co-pastor in a start-up Church, believing this was where the Lord wanted me to serve. During this season of transition the Lord hit me with one verse and for several months everywhere I turned it popped up:

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (1 Cor 2:10)

Then one day during a prayer session I finally got it. I had unknowingly traded the indescribable and inexhaustible wisdom of Holy Spirit for the wisdom of men and myself. It was like a light going off and then Holy Spirit started showing me places in the Word that I had missed as well as taking me back to times that I had thought I was given sound advice only to see how far off the target I was. Even in my personal and business financial decisions I had made countless mistakes all the while believing that I was using sound Biblical principles.

Now today I am continuously asking Holy Spirit to guard my heart and thoughts that I don’t err back to my old patterns. Even when I open the Word I welcome Him to join me in my studies. Especially before going out to witness I have disciplined myself when I out to evangelize the homeless or others whether it be by myself or with a group. In fact I serve as an associate pastor at a Church because Holy Spirit spoke to me with a clear directive – “the Father wills you to serve here” – which was at a time in my life when I had no earthly inclination to serve in a Church that from the outside is heaped in the traditions of doing Church. I am so thankful today for the directive Holy Spirit gave me as this ministry is exactly what the Lord prepared me for.

Looking back I could kick myself and it sometimes saddens me knowing that I had the availability to lean upon His wisdom and didn’t. I know that more than likely the out-come of these times would have been a whole lot different. How many lost souls did I not impact, how many business decisions did I make or not make that could have created more seeds for the Kingdom. Recently while in a teachings session with several of the men that I mentor I told them that if I had different color socks I would more than likely seek Holy Spirit’s directive as to which color to wear. Does this sound a bit over board or extreme? Well what if I had a pair of green socks and sitting on a bench or in a public place these socks opened the door for a conversation to share the gospel.

Let us ponder this thought for a moment – If God is so concerned with us that He even takes time to number the hairs on our head, why would we think anything was too small of a concern for Him. Where would our ministries be today if we were to be totally sold out on not moving to the left or right lest Holy Spirit said which way to go? We read in scripture of how Paul desired to go many places and at times even had his friends attempt to persuade him to either go or not to go yet Paul writes that the Spirit with-held him. He obviously was in communication with Holy Spirit to hear this.

So again, How important is seeking and hearing Holy Spirit in your life – Church – Ministry???

For does not the Bible declare “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Rom 8:14)

Fellow saints, let us not disregard this awesome gift that the Father has given us: But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (John 14:26)

faith-shield

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. (James 2:14-17)

cantbelieve

Are we really that blind to the attack against God is His Word?

We live in a day when we are at war on all sides as Christians. From abortion, the gay & lesbian agenda, the renunciation of all that is Christian to the out-right attack on marriage we see the battle lines not only have been drawn but they are ever increasing in size and pressing in on the Church.

We have raised a generation in the Church who has jumped on the social justice band-wagon yet they have forgone the Biblical truths as they rally for “every-one” has a right to be married, women have a right with regard to their own bodies to the support of a current president who is dead set on erasing the truth from our history and depicting Christianity as evil as the radical Islamic fundamentalist of in this hour. Look at the message from not long ago and see how it paints a picture not only of the current state of the Church but the ever increasing disobedient silence of Gods people:

We as Bible-believing evangelical Christians are locked in a battle. This is not a friendly gentleman’s discussion. It is a life and death conflict between the spiritual hosts of wickedness and those who claim the name of Christ. . . . But do we really believe that we are in a life and death battle? Do we really believe that the part we play in the battle has consequences for whether or not men and women will spend eternity in hell? Or whether or not those who do live will live in a climate of moral perversion and degradation? Sadly, we must say that very few in the evangelical world have acted as if these things are true. . . . Where is the clear voice speaking to the crucial issues of the day with distinctively biblical, Christian answers? With tears we must say it is not there and that a large segment of the evangelical world has become seduced by the world spirit of this present age. And more than this , we can expect the future to be a further disaster if the evangelical world does not take a stand for biblical truth and morality in the full spectrum of life. ~Francis Schaeffer

We are a country are not merely sitting on the cliff of moral depravity we have already begone the slide down. The hour is urgent and we must act now. We must wake up and pray like never before. We must repent and cry out to God for a Holy boldness to sweep through every Church in this nation. We need not a small reformation rather we need a tidal wave of Pentecostal flames to blow across this land with a stand against compromise and a Holy desperation for all that is good according to the Lord. We must stop the silence and release the Roar of the Lion of Judah.

spiritual-warfare-prayer

The time of comfort is over – the word tolerance has no place in the Christians life. God has given His Church the Armor to battle not to be hung up collecting dust as an antique of yesterdays war. We must enter into the command post (prayer closet) seeking the directives of He who leads the army of Heaven joining them with the army of His earthly warriors. The call to a national fast is here, the trumpets of warfare have been sounding the alarm for too long and now we must arise and gather together for the war over the greatest harvest is before us. The time of retreat is over and all who chose such are nothing more than traitors to the Kingdom. If ever the call to count the cost was most urgent it is now upon us. Do you wish to save your own life? The Lord clearly said in doing so you shall lose it. Glory be to the Lord for those who are willing to lose their lives for His sake for in doing so you shall find true life and that life is eternally abundant.

Now is the hour – are you going to stand up for Christ or are you going to remain silent for in remaining silent you make a loud declaration for the things of this world turning your back on the God who saved you!!!
