When the people of God lean upon the wisdom of this age, they inevitably diminish the wisdom that descends from above, the very wisdom James describes as “pure, peaceable, gentle, and full of mercy” (James 3:17). Earthly wisdom promises efficiency, relevance, and applause, yet it blinds the heart to the counsel of the Spirit. Scripture warns that “the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God” (1 Corinthians 3:19), for it cannot perceive the mysteries of the Kingdom. To exchange divine insight for human strategy is to trade gold for dust. It is to silence the whisper of heaven in favor of the noise of men.

A religious system that trims Scripture to fit its preferences reveals a tragically diminished vision of the One who sits enthroned above the circle of the earth (Isaiah 40:22). When leaders extract only the verses that serve their programs and discard the rest as inconvenient, they fashion a god in their own image rather than bow before the Holy One. The whole counsel of God is not a buffet from which we select what suits us; it is a revelation that confronts, corrects, and transforms. To treat Scripture as optional is to forget that “man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). A truncated Bible produces a truncated faith.

In many places, churches and ministries have adopted the identity of consumer culture, shaping their methods around trends, metrics, and market appeal. They hire consultants to craft branding strategies, as though the Church were merely another enterprise competing for attention. Yet the Kingdom does not advance by the mechanisms of commerce, nor does the Spirit move according to quarterly projections. Jesus did not say, “Build My brand,” but “Follow Me.” When ministry becomes indistinguishable from business, the cross is replaced by a logo and discipleship by customer retention.

Such practices will not stand in the dawning of the Kingdom Age, for the Word of God does not bend to preference, popularity, or personal taste. Whether a Scripture is comfortable or confrontational has no bearing on its authority, for “the word of the Lord endures forever” (1 Peter 1:25). To rely on the strength of the flesh is to declare to God that His power is unnecessary, His guidance optional, and His glory secondary. This posture mirrors the rebuke spoken through Jeremiah: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength” (Jeremiah 17:5). When we ask God to bless what we have built in our own strength so the world may admire us, we reveal that we seek greatness before men rather than faithfulness before the King.

Governing Righteously from the Gate of the City – Including Spiritual Warfare Strategies

Introduction

Throughout the biblical narrative, the “gate of the city” represents the seat of decision-making, justice, and authority. It was at the gates where elders and leaders convened to resolve disputes, enact judgments, and determine the course of communal life. In the modern context, the “mountain of Government” symbolizes the sphere of societal authority and civil leadership—a realm that shapes laws, influences culture, and stewards justice. For Christians called to political engagement, reclaiming this mountain is not a pursuit of power for power’s sake, but a divine mandate to govern righteously, in alignment with God’s principles, and for the flourishing of all people.

This document sets forth a scriptural strategy for Christians who feel called to influence government, equipping them to govern from the gate of their city with integrity, wisdom, a kingdom perspective, and proven spiritual warfare principles drawn from the Bible.

Biblical Foundations for Engagement in Government

1. The Call to Influence and Stewardship

From the beginning, God entrusted humankind with stewardship over creation (Genesis 1:26-28). This mandate includes the wise management of societal structures, including governance. Joseph governed Egypt with wisdom and foresight (Genesis 41), Daniel served with distinction in Babylon (Daniel 6), and Esther’s courage influenced the destiny of a nation (Esther 4:14). These accounts point toward a divine pattern: God places His people in positions of authority to bless, protect, and guide nations.

2. The Principle of Righteous Rule

Scripture repeatedly emphasizes the necessity of justice and righteousness in leadership. Proverbs 29:2 states, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice.” Conversely, unrighteous leadership brings suffering. Psalm 89:14 proclaims, “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne.” Christians called to government are thus compelled to seek just laws, equitable policies, and compassionate governance.

3. The Position at the Gate

In biblical cities, the gate was the epicenter of authority (Ruth 4:1-11; Proverbs 31:23). Leaders, judges, and elders gathered there to hear cases and give rulings. To “govern from the gate” means to shape policy and culture at the point of influence, ensuring godly values permeate the fabric of society.

Scriptural Strategy for Reclaiming the Mountain of Government

1. Personal Preparation and Character Formation

  • Consecration: Like Daniel (Daniel 1:8), resolve not to defile yourself with the ways of a corrupt system. Pursue holiness, humility, and a servant’s heart.
  • Prayer and Fasting: Commit to regular seasons of prayer and fasting (Nehemiah 1:4-11) to seek God’s wisdom and favor. Form prayer groups with other believers to intercede for your city or nation.
  • Biblical Literacy: Immerse yourself in God’s Word (Psalm 119:105), allowing it to shape your worldview and guide your decisions. Study biblical examples of leadership and governance.
  • Accountability: Surround yourself with wise counselors who will hold you accountable to godly standards (Proverbs 11:14).

2. Entering and Occupying the Gate

  • Engage Locally: Start by serving in local governance—city councils, school boards, community organizations. Faithfulness in smaller assignments opens doors to greater influence (Luke 16:10).
  • Advocate for Righteous Policies: Promote justice, mercy, and integrity in all matters (Micah 6:8). Be a voice for the voiceless, upholding the cause of the poor, marginalized, and oppressed (Proverbs 31:8-9).
  • Operate with Excellence: Like Daniel and Joseph, distinguish yourself by excellence, integrity, and wisdom (Daniel 6:3; Genesis 41:39-40). Let your work reflect the character of Christ.
  • Build Coalitions: Partner with others—both believers and people of goodwill—who seek the common good. Unity strengthens influence and impact (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).

3. Advancing Kingdom Values in Government

  • Promote Justice and Equity: Champion the biblical vision of justice, ensuring laws are fair and protect the dignity of all people (Isaiah 1:17).
  • Speak Truth to Power: Like Nathan before David (2 Samuel 12), speak truth courageously, even when it is costly. Uphold biblical convictions with grace and respect.
  • Pursue Reconciliation and Peace: Strive to be a peacemaker (Matthew 5:9), reconciling divided groups and healing societal wounds.
  • Resist Corruption: Refuse to participate in bribery, favoritism, or unjust practices (Exodus 23:8). Expose and confront corruption wherever it appears.

4. Governing from the Gate: Practical Steps

  • Discern the Spiritual Atmosphere: Recognize and address spiritual strongholds influencing your city (Ephesians 6:12). Deploy prayer strategies that target these forces.
  • Establish a Prayer Canopy: Organize ongoing prayer for government leaders and public servants (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Invite the presence and wisdom of God into the halls of power.
  • Articulate a Vision for Human Flourishing: Develop and communicate policies rooted in biblical principles that promote life, liberty, and the well-being of all citizens (Jeremiah 29:7).
  • Mentor Future Leaders: Invest in the next generation, equipping them for public service with integrity and a kingdom mindset (2 Timothy 2:2).

5. Perseverance and Endurance

  • Expect Opposition: Like Nehemiah rebuilding Jerusalem’s walls, anticipate resistance (Nehemiah 4). Stand firm, relying on God for strength and wisdom.
  • Endure Disappointment: Not all efforts will yield immediate fruit. Remain faithful, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
  • Celebrate Victories: Recognize and give thanks for progress, no matter how incremental. Share testimonies to encourage others to engage.

Spiritual Warfare Strategies from the Bible

  • Put on the Whole Armor of God: Ephesians 6:10-18 outlines spiritual armor—truth, righteousness, readiness from the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Stand firm against spiritual opposition by daily “putting on” these attributes in prayer and practice.
  • Use the Weapon of Praise: In 2 Chronicles 20, Jehoshaphat’s army led with worship and praise, causing confusion among their enemies. Begin meetings, campaigns, and personal prayer times with worship, inviting God’s presence and victory.
  • Declare God’s Word: Jesus countered temptation by declaring Scripture (Matthew 4:1-11). Speak out God’s promises and truths over governmental systems, city gates, and policy decisions.
  • Binding and Loosing: Jesus gives authority to bind and loose in prayer (Matthew 16:19; 18:18). Use this authority to bind corruption, division, and ungodliness, and loose righteousness, unity, and justice.
  • Intercessory Prayer: Stand in the gap for your city and leaders, as Abraham did for Sodom (Genesis 18:22-33), and Moses for Israel (Exodus 32:11-14). Intercede fervently for godly wisdom, protection, and breakthrough.
  • Fasting for Breakthrough: Daniel fasted to seek revelation and open spiritual doors (Daniel 10). Regular fasting enhances spiritual sensitivity and brings breakthrough in difficult government matters.
  • Discerning Spirits: Ask for discernment (1 Corinthians 12:10) to recognize spiritual influences behind policies, people, and decisions, so you can pray and act with insight.
  • Persistent Prayer: Like the widow in Luke 18:1-8, pray persistently and do not lose heart. Long-term change in government often comes through sustained intercession.

Conclusion: Reigning with Christ’s Authority

To reclaim the mountain of Government and govern righteously from the gate of a city is to fulfill God’s ancient mandate to steward creation and seek the shalom of the community. It is a task that requires humility, courage, prayer, and unwavering commitment to biblical justice. As you stand in the gate, may you echo the words of King Jehoshaphat: “Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper” (2 Chronicles 20:20). Let your service be marked by Christlike character, unyielding faith, strategic spiritual warfare, and a vision for God’s kingdom to come “on earth as it is in heaven.”

May your city be transformed as you govern—not with the sword of power, but with the scepter of righteousness and the mantle of servant leadership.

It’s not the woke ideologies, shifting cultural norms, or political chaos that pose the greatest threat to the Church—it is the ancient, insidious spirit of religion. Its tactics are subtle, its costume convincing, and its history long. From the blood-soaked soil beneath Abel’s sacrifice to the polished pulpits of today, this spirit has played the part of gatekeeper to God—yet all it does is keep the people from His presence.

Let’s be clear: this spirit doesn’t fear revival, it mimics it. It doesn’t stop worship, it redirects it toward traditions void of power. It doesn’t quench the prophetic, it sterilizes it—pressuring the prophets to conform, dilute, and apologize.

🚨 This spirit has infiltrated the modern Church, binding the saints with doctrines that sound holy but are hollow. Chief among them? The doctrine of escapism—the belief that the Church must survive until evacuation, rather than rise until enthronement. But that doctrine is a lie. Heaven has never commissioned a passive Bride. Scripture declares a Victorious Church: one that conquers, overcomes, and reigns. One that doesn’t wait for retreat but prepares for occupation—until the return of Christ, when He sets up His eternal throne among the redeemed on Earth.

⚔️ This War Is Ancient—but So Is Our Weaponry

The spirit of religion is not young. It has studied humanity for thousands of years—learning to twist truth, manipulate emotion, and institutionalize dead devotion. It stirs jealousy, crushes creativity, and prefers order over Spirit. It is the same spirit that rejected Christ, stoned the prophets, and persecuted the early Church. It whispers “God won’t move like that” while God breaks open the heavens with wonders.

But there is good news. The Remnant has not been left without power. Before this spirit ever slithered into the story, Holy Spirit hovered over the waters. He is older than deception, deeper than doctrine, and more powerful than any tradition. Within Him is eternal wisdom, supernatural strategies, and the kind of insight that exposes darkness before it even speaks.

🔑 Holy Spirit is our advantage. He reveals what religious spirits hide. He empowers what religious systems suppress. And through Him, the Remnant carries tools that dismantle strongholds: prophetic decrees, spiritual discernment, fervent intercession, and supernatural fire that religion cannot fake.

🚪 Let the Remnant Arise

This is the hour for liberation, not accommodation. The Remnant must rise—not in rebellion against church structures—but in full surrender to the King who refuses to be tamed by tradition. It’s time to confront deception, tear down strongholds, and liberate the saints from spiritual imprisonment.

Let every pulpit echo Heaven’s cry.

Let every believer be reawakened by truth.

Let every ministry be unshackled from religion and freshly baptized in Holy Spirit fire.

🕊️ To the Ecclesia: You Are Not Meekly Waiting—You Are Boldly Occupying

You were never called to survive until rescued. You were commissioned to govern until revealed. Christ is not returning for a Church stuck in fear—He’s coming for a Bride clothed in righteousness, roaring in authority, and triumphant in warfare.

This is your call, Remnant. Arise. Occupy. Confront. Liberate.

Expose religion. Embody freedom. Execute the will of Heaven.

The gates of hell will not prevail—not against the true Ecclesia, not against the prophetic Bride, and certainly not against those armed by the Spirit of God.

🌍 To the Stirred and Awakened: Find Your Tribe

If this message awakens something deep within you, it’s not just conviction—it’s commissioning. You’re not alone. The Remnant is rising all across the earth—bold believers marked by fire, holiness, and Heaven’s DNA. Apostolic voices, prophetic reformers, intercessory warriors—diverse in expression, united in mission.

Now is the time to seek them out. Find your Remnant Tribe. Link arms with those who refuse to bow to religion or retreat into silence. Strengthen one another. Build together. War together. Advance together.

Because revival is not a solo journey—it’s a Remnant revolution.

There is a growing tendency in the American Church to chase what’s trending—adopting popular phrases, movements, and titles without first committing them to the Lord or seeking the counsel of the Holy Spirit. This spiritual bandwagoning can be subtle, but dangerous. A borrowed phrase without Heaven’s commissioning becomes an empty slogan.

Let’s take two words now circulating heavily within Church circles: “Kingdom” and “Remnant.” Both are deeply biblical. Both carry weighty spiritual implications. But when used apart from divine revelation and scriptural grounding, they lose their authority and risk becoming hollow marketing tools.

🛡️ Blending the Two: A Powerhouse of Purpose

When you blend the words into “Kingdom-Remnant”—now you’re standing on holy ground. But only if Scripture defines it. If we strip away the Word and elevate branding over spiritual fruit, we dilute the power—and worse, we position ourselves as counterfeit ambassadors.

Over the last two decades, I’ve searched the Scriptures, combed the pages from the early Church writings, and those from the past 500 years, with the Bible as a referance to their authenticty and prayed relentlessly to discern what Heaven’s original blueprint for the Kingdom truly is—and where the Remnant fits within that story. And beloved, I believe the Holy Spirit has and is continuely unveiling rich and vital truths to the Church that demand our attention.

🔥 The Measure of an Authentic Kingdom Assembly

Ask yourself: Is a ministry truly Kingdom if it is led exclusively by the intellect and charisma of men, with the Holy Spirit treated like a distant relative who’s only welcome on special occasions? According to the biblical witness, the answer is a sobering no. That structure is not Kingdom—it is a religious system outside the governance of Heaven. Holy Spirit is the Father’s seal of authenticity upon a people, a place, and a purpose.

📖 The Remnant: Not Just a Title, But a Calling

The Remnant isn’t simply a cool brand or a buzzword—it is a biblically defined company of laid-down lovers of God who have not bowed their knee to the idols of this age. But there is confusion—even deception—surrounding this identity.

A so-called “Remnant” that denies the gifts of the Spirit? That claims prophecy is obsolete or tongues demonic? That discounts apostolic authority and belittles deliverance? That refuses to equip the saints in warfare, discernment, healing, and territory-taking? That is not the Remnant of the Lord. That is a form of godliness, but denying its power.

📉 The Fracture of Fruitlessness

In cities like mine—Jacksonville Florida—you’ll find churches on every street corner, yet the atmosphere remains largely unchanged. Many churches are built on charisma, crowds, and social momentum. But the Kingdom is not measured by Sunday attendance—it’s measured by spiritual fruit. Jesus said we would know them not by how many gather, but by what kind of fruit they bear. And true Kingdom fruit cannot grow apart from the Vine—Jesus—which is witnessed by the active indwelling of Holy Spirit.

👑 Kingdom Requires Government

The Remnant lives under the governmental authority of Holy Spirit. That means the gifts are active. That means warfare is real. That means the Church is a training ground for righteousness—not a comfort zone of compromise.

And a true Kingdom gathering as wll as a true company of Remnant Warriors is governed first by Holy Spirit who has selceted an Apostolic council made up of, you guessed it, Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist (The Church needs to really discern how this gift operates as to its function, for it is for the growth and advancement of the kingdom, not to fill the seats of the man-made empires of relgion, and a fan base for the Celebrity preachers) and Apostolic teachers.

If these Heaven sent and ordained leaders are absent, you can pretty much discern that Holy Spirit is very limited in His government influenace and authority.

We must discern with clarity: Are we aligning ourselves with the House of Isaac—the promise birthed by the Spirit—or with the House of Ishmael—a religious counterfeit birthed by the flesh?

🛐 A Call to Reformation

It’s time for a new sound to rise—a cry from the altar. A roar from the Remnant. May the Church of this nation fall on its face in repentance and petition the Father to issue a decree of divine reformation. One encased in Revival Fire. One that strips off false garments and clothes the Bride in righteousness once again.

Let the true Kingdom Remnant rise—not by trend, but by truth. Not by popularity, but by power. And let it be known: the Holy Spirit is not optional. He is essential. And where He is Lord, there is the Kingdom.

For generations, religious institutions built by man have stood as towering structures—grand in appearance, massive in influence, and seemingly unshakable. Yet beneath the surface, many of these institutions have traded holiness for human strategies, exchanged divine encounters for market-driven growth, and embraced cultural relevance at the cost of biblical truth. But God’s answer has never been found in religious empires. His answer is found in His Holy Remnant.

The Religious Institution: Form Without Power

Religious institutions often function as well-oiled machines, designed to captivate the masses with polished sermons, well-organized programs, and marketing strategies that mirror the corporate world. The focus is often placed on numbers—church attendance, social influence, financial expansion—measuring success by worldly standards rather than spiritual depth.

Many of these institutions, though outwardly thriving, are inwardly compromised. They cling to seeker-sensitive models that dilute the truth of the gospel to make it more palatable to the modern culture. Messages become motivational rather than transformational, appealing rather than convicting. The presence of God, once sought in desperation, is now scheduled into services with precision, yet rarely truly encountered.

In the name of relevance, many have abandoned reverence. Truth is softened, repentance is overlooked, and holiness is dismissed as outdated. They operate on strategy instead of Spirit, elevating human wisdom over divine guidance. Growth is pursued not through revival, but through consultants and business models. And while these institutions expand in influence, they lack the power that was evident in the early Church—the kind of power that shakes foundations, heals the sick, and overturns the works of the enemy.

The Holy Remnant: Marked by God’s Presence

In stark contrast, the Holy Remnant is not defined by numbers, grandeur, or influence. They are hidden, set apart, refined by fire, and consumed by an unshakable devotion to Christ. They are not concerned with appearance but with presence—the presence of God that cannot be fabricated or manipulated but must be earnestly pursued.

Unlike the institution built by man, the remnant does not bow to cultural trends. They refuse to compromise truth for popularity, choosing instead to stand firm even when the world rejects them. They are governed by the Holy Spirit, not church boards or leadership strategies. Their gatherings are not orchestrated performances but sacred assemblies where the power of God moves freely.

The Holy Remnant understands the urgency of the hour. They are aware of the deception infiltrating the Church and the spiritual battle raging over nations. While many within institutionalized Christianity are distracted by programs and social status, the remnant is interceding, discerning, and advancing the Kingdom in ways unseen by the masses.

They carry the fire of revival—a fire that cannot be extinguished by opposition, persecution, or rejection. Like the early Church, they gather in small groups, in secret places, wherever the Spirit leads. They may not have the platforms of religious leaders, but they have the favor of God. And it is through them that true transformation is coming.

God’s Answer Is Found in His Remnant

At this critical hour, God is not looking for institutions; He is looking for surrendered hearts. The answer to the crisis facing the Church and the world is not found in larger congregations or refined religious systems—it is found in the humble, devoted, Spirit-led believers who carry the mantle of the remnant.

God has always used a remnant to shift history. When Israel turned away from Him, He preserved a remnant. When wickedness ruled, He raised up prophets. When the religious leaders rejected Christ, He birthed the early Church through a small group of radical followers. And today, in the shadows of religious empires, He is once again raising up His remnant.

The remnant is His answer. They walk in kingdom authority, speak with prophetic clarity, and live in unwavering faith. They are not concerned with trends or titles but with the advancement of God’s will on the earth. Where religion has failed, the remnant will prevail. Where institutions have compromised, the remnant will stand. And through them, revival will come.

The Call to the Remnant

Are you among them? Will you choose to be set apart rather than blend in? Will you stand in truth, walk in holiness, and seek His presence above all else?

Now is the time. The remnant is rising. Will you answer the call?

There are many parallels between the natural and the spiritual. Take for example some of the most decorated soldiers In school they we not always the popular one, often times they led a quiet life, with no fan base or groups of fellow students to cheer them on, kind of like Gideon, the Shepherd boy who turned king, and the disciples whom Jesus chose.

In fact most students wanted to be amongst the popular ones, or just to be friends with them, even though it could and often duid cost them their own integrity, to where they basically sold out their destiny to gain access to what they deemed as that of societal value.

Yet in the spiritual realm, these quiet ones who quietly went about their own business with no desire to be noiticed, were labeled arch enemy number #1 by the forces of darkness.

Now, people looked at them through spiritual eyes, they may have just picked up on the inward tenacity that fueled their warrior spirit within them.

The same could be said for the modern-day Church landscape, where many want to be part of the “popular Church”. You know, the big Church with a grand ole production of entertainment in their services, big screens and smoke machine. Because after all. they must be authentic, just look at how many people they have drawn, and the money they are receiving. Campuses are being built in the most affluent and popular neighborhoods.

Now, for the record, I am not claiming that they all fit in this class, however, I want to share a dream I had 20 years ago.

Now this was a very real-life dream where I found myself standing next to a man who showed me a picture of a mega Church which by all accounts on the surface looked like it was prospering, and it was also adding to the Kingdom.

But upon a closer look, the man beside me revealed it was actually a grave yard of stolen destinies, where like Esau, they had sold their destiny for a temporary fix, a hunger they felt needed to be filled,

He then took me in the spirit to now be standing in front of what appeared to be a rundown Church, the paint on the outside was peeling, the cross on the steeple was a little crooked, and once inside you could see the carpet was worn, the pews were outdated, the choir books where held together with what looked like duct tape – yet up at the front where the altar was, something powerful was happening.

As we walked up there I saw what seemed to be all the members of that congregation, from the youngest to the oldest and they were all on their knees unified in praying as their voices blended into one strong voice, where each member was happily praying in agreement with the others in the group.

Then I was taken from that scene and found myself in a room where I saw a person on a hospital bed, the machines attached to them had just been turned off, and the medical personnel had started to turn away, when all of sudden, a streaming light came through the ceiling and touched their head, and all at once the person on the bed rose up, and shout Thank you Jesus.

Then I was whisked in the spirit to a dark alley way, where I saw an individual whose body had been withered down to skin and bones, and this individual was about to stick their arm with yet another needle, when all of a sudden a man, who was surrounded by light reached out and touched their shoulder, and immediately health came back into their body, their pale like death white skin began to shine like the light around the one who had just touched them.

From the place of a very deep and dark prison of addiction, they walked out of the chains that had bound them. Then just like the one who had just touched them they began going through the alley touching others, and the sound of chains dropping to the ground began to resound through the whole alley way, even to the point that people walking on the enjoining streets could hear the sound.

Then once again, I was taken in the spirit to a bedroom where a young women was crying on the edge of the bed, where she held a pill in her hand, I noticed the writing on the box next to her bed which read, morning after pill. she was crying and asking the Lord to forgive her, but she could not keep the child in her any longer.

All of sudden the man who had been accompanying me stood beside her and I suddenly noticed that He had long white hair. He walked over and stood beside her, where He reached out and gently grabbed her hands, and spoke with a voice that sounded like a thousand rivers, softly rushing through a canyon. He said its ok daughter, I am here now and I will be with you from this day forward, you are greatly loved, and this child inside you is not a mistake, for I have blessed you with this child, knowing the loving mother you shall be to her.

And then I found myself back in that little Church and realized that each person there was not concerned with what the building looked like, or the part of town it was located in. Suddenly I began to discern as I stood there that these were the faithful ones, spoken of in Revelation 12:11, those who could care less about what people thought about them, or what their building looked like, for their days were consumed with the assignments that the Father had given them, knowing their faithfulness and steadfastness.

As I turned, I noticed something that I hadn’t noticed when I first saw the sanctuary, although now seeing it, and due to its showing the signs of having been there for years, with a hill of spent candle wax on the floor, was a golden candle stand, with six spent candles, and one candle which was still burning ever so brightly.

So my dear brothers and sisters, are you driven to belong to the popular crown, do you have to be part of the big show? Or does your heart burn with the same passion for the world as does the heart of our Lord.

If you said yes to the atter, ask Holy Spirit to direct you to a Kingdom family whose whole focus is on the King, His Kingdom and His Righteousness.

And remember, Big isn’t always better, sometimes the small thigs have a greatest impact.

In January of 2022, as the Lord freed me from my service as director at a rescue and recovery mission in Jacksonville beach, to that of the lead Elder at a Church my wife and I had been in relationship with since 2012. As I accepted the role of leadership at Highway to Heaven Church, I did so not just by my inclination but the wise council of a couple of apostolic elders the Lord has placed in my life.

Before I accepted it, having received the council from others,  I continued to seek the Lord for several more days. On the seventh day I listened as Holy Spirit delivered the Lord’s mandate on this transition. “You must follow My lead and return this congregation back to the original intent for my Ecclesia, and allow Me to teach them through you to reset the house to where it stands on the foundational teaching of the Gospel of my Kingdom.

Until it is established on that foundation, you will see no increase, but when that foundation is established, I will begin sending those for whom I ordained to co-labor with this Kingdom family.

But heed this warning, do not teach them to follower you, or to listen to your voice alone. You must allow Holy Spirit to train them to follow the One true God who dwells in you, even as He dwells in them”.

Ever since I received that commissioning, I have not strayed from the mandate He gave me.

If we are honest we can discern that the vast majority of the Church today struggles in the area of leadership in many ways. Take for example, how often have you heard someone quoting their pastor more than they do the scriptures? Or have you ever attended a “Gathering” where they claim there is no leadership needed in the New Testament Church?

Now a true student of the Word would be lead by the Spirit to interpret Paul’s writings in the New Testament that emphasize submitting to Christ and His teachings, but do not emphasis to submit completely to Paul himself or to any other human authority, even within the church.

While Paul serves as an apostle and a teacher of the gospel, the ultimate authority in the Christian faith and practice is Christ.

Elaboration:

Submission to Christ:

Paul’s writings, particularly in Ephesians, encourage Christians to “submit to one another out of reverence for Christ”. This implies that Christians should submit to one another, reflecting the love and humility of Christ, rather than prioritizing their own opinions or desires.

Paul as an Apostle and Teacher:

Paul is recognized as a key apostle and teacher of the gospel, and his writings offer valuable guidance for Christians. However, his authority comes from his position as an apostle and teacher, not from a claim to ultimate authority over the Christian faith.

Christ as the Head of the Church:

Paul often uses the metaphor of the Church as the body of Christ, with Christ as the Head. This implies that Christ’s teachings and leadership should be the guiding principles for the Church, not the teachings of any particular apostle or human leader.

Avoiding Human Authority:

Paul’s writings also caution against elevating any individual or group to a position of excessive authority, even within the church. Instead, Christians are encouraged to seek guidance from Holy Spirit and rthe the scriptures as well as to cultivate humility and respect for one another, reflecting the humility and service of Christ.

Submission to One Another:

Paul’s writings in Ephesians and other letters also emphasize the importance of mutual submission among Christians. This means that Christians should willingly defer to one another’s needs, opinions, and gifts, rather than seeking to dominate or control others.

Focus on Christ’s Love and Sacrifice:

Paul’s writings consistently highlight the love and sacrifice of Christ as the foundation of the Christian faith. Christians are called to love and serve one another, mirroring Christ’s own love and self-sacrifice.

Now I am in no way implying that there are NO leaders in the Church. In fact, I have witnessed the restoration of true Ecclesia leadership over the past 2 decades as Holy Spirit has been restoring the Apostolic leadership in the Church.

What does this mean?

With a renewed revelation of the Christ centered and led leadership,  it’s also very important that we understand that while this re-alignment has been taking place, satan has been busy infiltrating the Church with his own false apostles, those who are power hungry and seek not just the adoration of the people, but almost demand their loyalty to them and them alone.

Such are they who twist such scriptures such that speak of the power of Christ, to that of their own power. Case in point Revelation 12:11, which in the KJV reads:

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death”.

Their twist in this passage of scripture is they prefer to re-direct the attention of the people by replacing the focus as not so much on the Blood of the Lamb but on them and their leadership by the boasting of what “they’ve” done, thus everyone needs to die to their own needs so that they can attend to the needs of the Church leadership.

I have found that out of all the translations out there I am most keen to the passion translation, especially with regard to this passage of scripture as I believe it turns it into something that one could actually hear Jesus telling John:

“They conquered him completely through the blood of the Lamb and the powerful word of his testimony. They triumphed because they did not love and cling to their own lives, even when faced with death”.

Wow, this brings it home with no room for misinterpretation as to being about Christ, and the powerful deeds that He has done in and through our lives. Even when the enemy comes to try and boost your ego and stir up your pride, the response of the child of God immediately deflates the enemy’s attempt as they respond with. “No you have it all wrong, it was not me that did this, but He who dwells in me, the Lord God”.

Now, if you find yourself under such a leader, pause, and seek the Lord, ask Him if this individual is of His Kingdom or that of the enemy. Holy Spirit will guide you. I have found that true leaders in the Body of Christ are just like the Lord, desiring that those they are discipling to grow and mature into doing even greater deeds than they themselves. They guide, correct and direct from the resevour of Christ’s love in them, never to boost their own image but to encourage the very image of the Lord in others to shine brightly.

In a world increasingly marked by chaos and moral decay, the call to action for the church has never been more urgent.

Several years ago, my wife and I were divinely guided to transition our ministry from Mighty Arm Ministries to Remnant Warrior Ministries. This change was not merely a rebranding; it came with a divine mandate to establish an online school of Spiritual Warfare.

However, our commitment to this mission was met with unexpected resistance from various circles, including some ministries that I once revered. They dismissed the significance of spiritual warfare, claiming it to be unnecessary in today’s context.

Yet, this sentiment stands in stark contrast to the extensive teachings of the apostle Paul, who devoted significant portions of his letters to instructing the early church on the importance of spiritual battle.

As I reflect on the past several decades, I have witnessed an alarming trend: the neglect and, at times, outright ignorance of spiritual warfare within the church has rendered both the church and our nation vulnerable to the encroachment of the enemy.

The societal cultures surrounding us have been infiltrated, and in many ways, the church has surrendered territory without the fight that was once characteristic of the body of Christ.

However, the Holy Spirit has illuminated my path with the revelation that a movement is stirring—a resurgence of ministries and leaders passionately focusing on spiritual warfare.

Many of these leaders carry the term “warrior” in their ministry names, signaling a collective awakening to the call of God. Listening to Bishop Bill Hamon’s prophetic word for 2025 solidified this realization.

He spoke of a divine summons to establish an army of warriors, a clarion call for the Remnant Warriors to unite, connect, and reclaim the territories that have been lost.

This prophetic insight aligns with other messages from trusted prophets, confirming that God is rallying His devoted followers to reinstate the Biblical Art of Spiritual Warfare.

At the crux of this mission is the realization that a new elite unit within the body of Christ is being deployed to confront the end-time crises we face.

This brave group, the Remnant Army of God, is characterized by radical commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and a willingness to defend His Bride, even at great personal cost.

As I penned the declaration for our ministry, I echoed the sentiments of the apostle Paul found in 2 Timothy 4:7-8. Paul’s testament to having fought the good fight and remained faithful serves as a clarion reminder of our ultimate goal—receiving the crown of righteousness reserved for those who eagerly await His return.

It is not just a promise for Paul but a gracious invitation extended to all who dare to stand firm in their faith.

In alignment with this mission, the Creed articulated by Judy Lamborn resonates deeply with the heart of every Remnant Warrior.

It is a pledge of commitment, recognizing the gravity of our calling in this pivotal moment.

As warriors, we acknowledge that we have been chosen for such a time as this, ready to lay down our lives for the cause of Christ.

We vow to live according to the infallible Word of God, embracing our responsibility to fulfill the Great Commission.

We commit to honoring Jesus Christ in our words and deeds, reflecting His love and truth in a world that desperately needs it.

The time for action is now. The spiritual landscape demands our vigilance and commitment.

As we stand united as Remnant Warriors, we must sanctify ourselves to a life of prayer and intercession, seeking an intimate relationship with God while fervently working to bring salvation to a lost world.

Our mission is clear: we must reclaim the ground that has been surrendered and boldly declare the victory of Christ over every aspect of our lives and communities.

In closing, I urge my brothers and sisters to heed this call. The spiritual battle is real, and the stakes are high. Let us rise as a united front, equipped with the knowledge of our authority in Christ and the unwavering resolve to fight the good fight of faith.

Together, we will be found fulfilling our divine assignment when He returns, eagerly anticipating the words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord.” The time for action is NOW. Let us answer the call and step into our destiny as Remnant Warriors.

The Foundation of the Church: Understanding the Apostolic Office

In the realm of architecture, no one would dispute the significance of a building’s foundation. It is the bedrock upon which the entire structure rests, ensuring stability and longevity.

This analogy finds a profound reflection in the biblical context, particularly in Ephesians 2:20, where the Apostle Paul emphasizes that the church’s foundation is built upon the apostles and prophets, with Christ as the chief cornerstone.

This metaphor not only highlights the vital role of unity within the church but also invites an exploration of the nature and implications of the apostolic office. The apostolic office serves as a crucial element in the establishment and nurturing of the church.

The apostles were not merely historical figures; they were divinely appointed leaders who played an essential role in spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ and laying the groundwork for the early Christian community.

Their firsthand experiences with Christ provided them with unique insights and revelations that shaped the beliefs and practices of the church. This foundational leadership was instrumental in creating a unified body of believers that transcended cultural, social, and geographical barriers.

Paul’s assertion in Ephesians 4:12-13 further expands upon the significance of the apostles in the contemporary church. He writes, “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”

This passage underscores the ongoing role of the apostolic office, suggesting that the church has not yet fully achieved the maturity and unity envisioned by Paul. The work of the apostles in perfecting the saints and edifying the body of Christ remains essential, as it fosters an environment where believers can grow in faith and knowledge.

In today’s world, the implications of Paul’s teachings are profound. The church is called to recognize and embrace the presence of modern-day apostles who continue to guide and equip the body of Christ.

These leaders play a pivotal role in addressing contemporary challenges, promoting unity, and ensuring the church remains aligned with its foundational values. As society evolves and new crises emerge, the need for apostolic leadership becomes increasingly evident.

Moreover, the apostolic office serves as a reminder of the importance of mentorship and discipleship within the church. Just as the original apostles mentored early Christians, today’s leaders must invest in the spiritual growth of their congregations.

This commitment to nurturing future generations of believers ensures that the church continues to thrive and adapt while remaining firmly rooted in its foundational truths.

In conclusion, the apostolic office is not merely a relic of the past; it is a living and active force within the church today. Understanding this role is vital for fostering unity, maturity, and growth in the body of Christ.

As we reflect on Paul’s teachings, may we be inspired to seek out and support apostolic leadership in our communities, ensuring that our foundation remains strong as we build a vibrant church that honors Christ as the chief cornerstone.

The journey toward spiritual maturity and unity is ongoing, and it is through the guidance of apostles that we can navigate the challenges of our time with wisdom and grace.

Throughout the course of American history, there have been distinct moments when a divine wind of revival has swept across the nation, igniting the hearts of believers and rekindling the flames of faith.

Every few hundred years, this spiritual refreshment appears, blowing upon the lingering embers of previous revivals tended to by the Remnant—those faithful individuals who remain committed to nurturing the seeds of hope and transformation. However, as eternity unfolds, there are pivotal moments that can either lead to a national awakening or result in a disheartening retreat from faith.

The call for discernment among the Watchmen Spirit flowing within the Remnant is critical, particularly in a time when the Church faces both internal strife and external challenges. The Remnant serves as the spiritual guardians who watch over the flames of revival, sensing the opportune moments for spiritual renewal. Yet, as history has shown, the failure of religious leaders to heed these signs can lead to disastrous consequences.

In Matthew 16:3, Jesus rebuked the religious rulers for their inability to interpret the signs of the times, highlighting a profound truth that resonates in contemporary society. The Church, over the past century, has frequently struggled to discern the shifting spiritual landscape, allowing division and strife to overshadow its mission.

When one group within the Church begins to experience a movement of the Holy Spirit, another faction often resorts to downplaying or even opposing that movement, sometimes resorting to what can be described as witchcraft-like prayers against fellow believers. This internal conflict not only detracts from the Church’s purpose but also creates a barrier to the collective spiritual awakening that America so desperately needs.

In recent years, a growing number of Watchmen, men such as the late Arthur Burt, C. Peter Wagner, and David Wilkerson along with present day men such as Dutch Sheets and his brother Tim Sheets—are those spiritually attuned individuals who seek to discern the seasons of God—have sensed that America is on the cusp of another significant visitation.

This anticipated revival is not merely a hope for the future; it is a pressing invitation for the Church to come together in unity, prayer, and repentance.

The question that looms large is whether the Church will heed this call. Will the body of Christ rise above its differences, setting aside petty disputes and focusing instead on the greater mission of bringing healing and restoration to a fractured nation? The stakes are high, as a failure to embrace this moment may lead America further into a spiral of chaos and evil. Thus, the need for discernment has never been more urgent.

It is a call to action for believers to seek the Lord earnestly, to pray for unity, and to cultivate an environment where the winds of revival can blow freely once again. The teachings of Christ remind us of the importance of recognizing the signs around us, prompting us to engage in self-reflection and collective prayer.

As the timeline of eternity continues to unfold, the choice lies within the Church: to awaken, unify, and prepare for the visitation that lies ahead or to remain stagnant and risk being swept away by the tides of secularism and moral decay. So we can see that we are standing at spiritual cross-road, and the history of revival in America serves as a reminder that moments of divine intervention are often contingent upon the readiness of the Church. The call for discernment and unity is critical in this pivotal season.

As the Watchmen sound the alarm, it is up to the body of Christ to respond with courage and faith, recognizing that a new wave of revival could very well be on the horizon. The future of America hinges on our willingness to bend the knee in repentance and turn back to the Lord, allowing His transformative power to shape our nation once more.
