When Consecrated Believers Changed Cities, Regions, and Nations

Throughout the history of the Church, God has repeatedly demonstrated that He does not require a majority in order to transform a territory. Again and again, when culture was deteriorating, religious systems had grown cold, or nations were drifting farther from righteousness, the Lord raised up a consecrated people who refused to accept darkness as inevitable. They prayed, preached, discipled, confronted injustice, served their communities, and carried the presence of God beyond the walls of their gatherings.

“Big Screens, Skinny Jeans and Smoke Machines”

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” — 2 Timothy 4:3

I went looking for the verse that explains what I keep seeing, and I found it.

Somewhere along the way, a strange qualification quietly attached itself to the pulpit. Nobody wrote it into a creed. Nobody voted on it in a denominational meeting.

But walk through the marketing of half the “prophetic voices” and “apostolic leaders” filling your timeline and you’ll find the unwritten job description: sleeve tattoos on both arms, a designer beard maintained better than most people’s marriages, a wardrobe that costs more than a month of rent for half the congregation funding it. Charisma on camera. A logo. A brand.

Somewhere, we stopped asking whether a man walks in the fear of the Lord and started asking whether he looks like he could headline a festival.

“I was in a meeting when brother Mario Murillo asked a piercing question: ‘When did the church become lukewarm? Maybe when we replaced the Holy Spirit with big screens, skinny jeans, and fog machines.’ The problem isn’t a screen, a pair of jeans, or a fog machine. The problem begins when production becomes the substitute for Presence, personality replaces anointing, and the platform becomes more important than the altar.”

The Word Never Asked for a Brand

Paul gave Timothy and Titus the actual job description for anyone who wants to stand in front of God’s people. It has nothing to do with aesthetics.

An overseer must be blameless, not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre — but a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate (Titus 1:7-8).

He must be one that ruleth well his own house, not a novice, and have a good report of them which are without (1 Timothy 3:4-7). Peter told the elders to feed the flock of God, taking the oversight thereof, not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; neither as being lords over God’s heritage (1 Peter 5:2-3).

Read those lists as many times as you want. You will not find “must have a compelling personal brand.” You will not find “must dress like he’s about to drop an album.” You will find character. You will find the fear of the Lord. You will find a warning, repeated twice in two different letters to two different men, about money.

That repetition is not an accident. God knew exactly what would try to hijack the pulpit two thousand years later.

Building a Kingdom, or Building a Legacy?

There is a difference between a ministry that builds the Kingdom of God and a ministry that builds a personal empire wearing Kingdom language as a costume.

You can tell the difference by where the money goes. A house of God that pours its resources into reaching the lost, discipling the broken, and caring for the widow and the orphan is building a Kingdom.

A house that pours millions into a private jet, a mansion compound, and a wardrobe budget while quietly building a media empire and a family dynasty to inherit it — that is not a ministry anymore. That is a business with a worship set.

Jesus walked into the temple and turned over the tables of the men who had figured out how to monetize access to God. He did not do it quietly. He did not do it politely. My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves (Matthew 21:13). If He was willing to flip tables over doves being sold in the outer court, what does He think about a nine-figure media empire built on offerings collected in His name?

Paul asked the Corinthians a question the American Church needs to sit with: we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity (2 Corinthians 2:17). The word there for “corrupt” was used for shopkeepers who watered down their wine to increase their profit margin. Paul saw it coming. Peddlers of the gospel, diluting the truth to move more product.

Micah saw it too, centuries earlier: The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire… yet will they lean upon the Lord, and say, Is not the Lord among us? none evil can come upon us (Micah 3:11). Notice that — they still used God’s name. They still claimed His presence. They just taught for hire while doing it.

Itching Ears Built This Platform

None of this could happen without willing customers. Paul didn’t just warn Timothy about corrupt teachers — he warned him about a congregation that would demand them.

They will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers (2 Timothy 4:3).

Read that carefully. The people heap up the teachers. They go looking for a voice that will scratch the itch of what they already wanted to hear, and they will keep hiring and firing preachers until they find one who never makes them uncomfortable.

An itching-ears culture doesn’t want a shepherd who will correct it.

It wants a celebrity who will affirm it, entertain it, and look good doing it. So the marketplace responded exactly the way marketplaces do. It manufactured the product being demanded — polished, tattooed, designer-dressed, and camera-ready — because a congregation with itching ears will fund the platform every single time.

This is not a story about a few bad men. It is a transaction. And it will not stop until the people stop demanding the product.

What the Fear of the Lord Actually Looks Like

Paul reminded the Ephesian elders of his own example: I have coveted no man’s silver, or gold, or apparel… I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak (Acts 20:33-35).

He worked with his hands so the gospel would cost the church nothing extra. He was not chasing a brand. He was making sure the message never got confused with a hustle.

Jeremiah confronted the shepherds who scattered the flock instead of feeding it, and God said plainly: I will visit upon you the evil of your doings (Jeremiah 23:2).

Ezekiel said it even sharper — shepherds who feed themselves, clothe themselves with the wool, and let the sheep go hungry and scattered while calling it ministry (Ezekiel 34:2-4).

And Paul, writing to Timothy about the very spirit driving all of this, was blunt: the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows (1 Timothy 6:10). Not a warning about wealth existing. A warning about what happens to a man’s soul when the love of it gets into the pulpit.

The Question This Leaves Us With

This is not a call to despise every preacher with a tattoo or a nice suit. Character was never measured by ink or by a closet. That was never the point, and turning it into a legalistic checklist would just be a different flavor of missing the mark.

The point is this: somewhere, the qualification for standing in the pulpit quietly shifted from the fear of the Lord to the size of a platform. Somewhere, a congregation started confusing a brand with an anointing. Somewhere, “does he look like he could carry the room” replaced “does he tremble at the Word of the Lord.”

Paul told Timothy the itching-ears season was coming. He didn’t tell him to be surprised by it. He told him what to do instead: preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine (2 Timothy 4:2).

Stay faithful to the Word, even when — especially when — it stops being what people want to hear.

The Church does not need more celebrities. It needs shepherds who love the sheep more than they love the brand.

We must become the altar where the fire falls again.

THE ENEMY WANTS TO PULL THE REMNANT INTO A CARNAL WAR

It is time for the Remnant to rise into a higher level of spiritual discernment.

There is a battle taking place for the attention, emotions, and spiritual focus of the people of God. Every day, believers are confronted with headlines, social-media posts, political arguments, cultural outrage, fear-driven commentary, and emotionally charged voices demanding an immediate response. Much of what we encounter is designed to provoke anger, offense, confusion, anxiety, or division before we have taken the time to pray, discern, and hear from the Holy Spirit.

It is time for the Remnant to rise into a higher level of spiritual discernment. One of the enemy’s most effective strategies is to drag a spiritual battle down into the realm of the flesh. If he can provoke the sons and daughters of God into responding with uncontrolled emotion, personal hostility, careless words, or constant outrage, he can pull them away from the place of spiritual authority.

The enemy does not always need to silence the Church. Sometimes he simply needs to make the Church sound like the world.

WHEN THE ENEMY CHOOSES THE BATTLEFIELD

I have learned through the years that not every battle deserves my immediate response. There have been moments when I felt compelled to answer quickly, defend a position, correct a false statement, or confront something that appeared deeply wrong. Yet when I paused and brought the matter before the Holy Spirit, I often discovered that my first reaction would have come from frustration rather than spiritual authority.

That pause can make all the difference. The enemy is not only interested in what we believe; he is also interested in controlling how we respond. If he can provoke us into speaking before we pray, reacting before we discern, or judging before we understand, then he has already succeeded in pulling the battle onto carnal ground.

The Remnant must stop allowing the enemy to determine the battlefield. We cannot dismantle spiritual darkness by adopting the language, methods, anger, and manipulation of the very system we are confronting. A fleshly response to a spiritual attack does not defeat the enemy; it often strengthens the atmosphere he is attempting to create.

DEMONIC TRIGGERS IN THE AGE OF OUTRAGE

The media, social media, political rhetoric, and endless stream of competing voices are saturated with triggers. Some are designed to create fear. Others are crafted to produce hostility, tribalism, panic, suspicion, or deep emotional exhaustion. Even when information contains an element of truth, it may still be presented in a way that manipulates the emotions and draws people into an atmosphere that is not of God.

A headline may be factually accurate and still be designed to inflame. A social-media post may expose a genuine concern while carrying an atmosphere of accusation, bitterness, or hatred. A public controversy may deserve attention, yet the enemy may use it to draw believers into endless arguments that produce no repentance, no healing, no wisdom, and no Kingdom fruit.

The mature sons and daughters of God must learn to recognize the spirit operating behind the message. We must ask whether what we are hearing is producing clarity or confusion, courage or fear, righteous conviction or uncontrolled outrage. We must discern whether our response will bring light into the darkness or simply add another angry voice to the noise.

Spiritual maturity is revealed not only by what we recognize, but by how we respond.

LED BY THE SPIRIT, NOT GOVERNED BY THE FLESH

Romans 8:14 declares, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” This verse is not merely a comforting statement about identity; it reveals the governmental order of the Kingdom. The mature sons and daughters of God are those who are learning to live under the leadership, influence, and authority of the Holy Spirit.

To be led by the Spirit means that our emotions do not govern us. Our anger does not dictate our speech. Our fear does not determine our actions. The pressure of culture, the volume of the crowd, and the urgency of the latest headline do not possess the right to lead us.

This does not mean that Spirit-led believers remain silent in the face of deception, injustice, corruption, or evil. It means we speak from the right spirit. There is a difference between righteous conviction and personal hostility, between prophetic clarity and uncontrolled outrage, and between confronting darkness and becoming consumed by it.

The Remnant must surrender every part of life to the governmental authority of the Holy Spirit. Our words, judgments, social-media activity, conversations, prayers, and public witness must come under His direction. We cannot claim to be governed by Heaven while continually reacting from the flesh.

OUR WEAPONS ARE NOT CARNAL

Second Corinthians 10:4 declares, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.” Paul was making it clear that spiritual strongholds cannot be defeated through fleshly methods. Human anger, accusations, insults, mockery, emotional outbursts, and endless arguments do not possess the power to dismantle demonic systems.

Our weapons are prayer, truth, righteousness, obedience, faith, love, the Word of God, and Spirit-led decrees that agree with Heaven. These are not weak or passive responses. Prayer is not inactivity. Biblical decrees are not empty religious language. The Word of God spoken under the direction of the Holy Spirit carries far more authority than a thousand fleshly reactions.

The mature believer must learn when to speak publicly, when to intercede privately, when to confront directly, and when to remain silent until the Holy Spirit gives instruction. Not every argument deserves our voice. Not every headline deserves our emotion. Not every controversy deserves our participation.

Some battles are won in public proclamation, but many are dismantled in the secret place.

AMERICA IS UNDER SIEGE ON MULTIPLE FRONTS

Our nation is under tremendous pressure. We are witnessing attacks against truth, family, identity, innocence, justice, order, faith, and the biblical principles that once helped shape the conscience of this nation. Division has become profitable, outrage has become entertainment, and fear has become a weapon used to influence entire populations.

The enemy understands that if America can be divided, weakened, and led into self-destruction, the consequences will extend far beyond our borders. The fall of a nation with America’s global influence would create tremors throughout the world, affecting economies, alliances, defense, humanitarian efforts, religious liberty, and the stability of other nations.

This does not mean that America is more valuable to God than any other nation. God created every people, tribe, language, and nation, and His redemptive purpose reaches throughout the entire earth. Yet America has carried a significant historic responsibility.

At its best, America has been a beacon of hope to the oppressed, a refuge for the persecuted, a defender of liberty, and a force against those who seek to inflict harm upon the innocent. America has not always lived up to that calling, and we must acknowledge its failures honestly. Yet failure does not erase purpose.

The answer is not blind nationalism, political idolatry, or placing our hope in human leaders. The answer is national humility, repentance, justice, truth, and renewed dependence upon the Lord Most High.

OUR SAFETY DOES NOT COME FROM MILITARY POWER

America possesses one of the most powerful military forces in the world, but our ultimate safety does not come from weapons, technology, intelligence agencies, economic strength, or political influence. Psalm 20:7 declares, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.”

In the ancient world, chariots and horses represented military power, national security, and human strength. The psalmist was reminding Israel that armies may be necessary, but they must never become the object of a nation’s trust. Human strength cannot replace dependence upon God.

A nation may possess the strongest military in the world and still lose its moral foundation. It may have global influence and still collapse from corruption, pride, hatred, division, spiritual blindness, and internal decay. History is filled with powerful empires that appeared secure until their foundations failed beneath them.

Our help comes from the Lord. Our protection comes from Jehovah Elyon, the Most High God. Our future depends upon whether we humble ourselves, seek His face, turn from wickedness, pursue justice, and return to the ancient paths of righteousness.

THE REMNANT MUST NOT BECOME ANOTHER ANGRY MOVEMENT

The enemy wants believers angry without discernment, informed without wisdom, passionate without restraint, and vocal without spiritual authority. He wants us continually offended, emotionally exhausted, and spiritually distracted. He wants us fighting one another while darkness advances almost unnoticed.

The Holy Spirit is calling us higher. He is raising sons and daughters who can hear the noise without becoming part of it. They will recognize manipulation without surrendering to paranoia, confront deception without abandoning love, and speak truth without allowing hatred to shape their words.

The Remnant must not become another angry movement. We are called to be a holy people governed by another Kingdom. Our distinction will not merely be the positions we hold, but the Spirit from which we speak, the character we display, and the authority we carry.

We must become disciplined in prayer, anchored in Scripture, sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and unwilling to surrender our peace to the chaos of the culture. We must learn to pause before reacting, pray before speaking, discern before judging, and seek the counsel of Heaven before entering any battle.

A CALL TO THE REMNANT

Before responding to the next headline, controversy, accusation, or emotionally charged post, stop and ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart. Are you responding from peace or agitation? Are you speaking from spiritual authority or personal frustration? Have you prayed before forming your conclusion? Will your response reveal Christ, or merely prove that you are angry?

The battle is real, and the hour is serious, but we must fight with the weapons of the Kingdom. This week, identify one area where the enemy has been repeatedly provoking you into fear, anger, or frustration. Bring that area before the Holy Spirit, surrender your emotions, search the Word, and refuse to react until you have received His direction.

Refuse to let the enemy choose the battlefield. Refuse to surrender your authority through carnal reactions. Refuse to become part of the noise you were called to confront.

Pray with discernment, speak with wisdom, stand in truth, walk in love, and remain governed by the Spirit.

The enemy wants to pull the Remnant into a carnal war, but the mature sons and daughters of God are awakening. We will not fight darkness with darkness. We will not confront hatred with hatred. We will not surrender our peace, our witness, or our spiritual authority.

The Remnant is rising, the Light is breaking through, and those who are led by the Spirit of God will stand steady in the days ahead.

The war is real.

The hour is serious.

But the Remnant is awakening.

Ichabod, Maine: The Glory Has Departed from the Pine Tree State’s Churches

A Grief-Filled Cry from a Son of Maine—and an Open Altar for the Glory to Return

I do not write these words as an outsider throwing stones at Maine.

I write as a son of Maine.

I know the scent of the pine forests, the cold Atlantic air, the rocky coastline, the small towns, the old meetinghouses, and the stubborn strength carried by generations of Mainers. Maine is not merely another state on a map to me. It is part of my history. It helped shape my character, my convictions, and my burden for the Church.

That is why this message carries grief.

I am not rejoicing over the spiritual condition of Maine’s churches. I am mourning. I am writing with fire in my spirit and tears in my heart because a land that once carried the sound of biblical preaching is being overtaken by churches that apologize for Scripture, distort the Gospel, celebrate what God calls sin, resist lawful authority, and offer our children to the ideologies of the age.

A word has risen in my spirit over the institutional Church in Maine:

Ichabod.

“And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel.”

Ichabod means, “The glory has departed.” This is not a declaration against every congregation in Maine, because God still has faithful pastors, praying families, hidden intercessors, Bible-believing churches, and uncompromising sons and daughters throughout the Pine Tree State. There is still a Remnant, but over much of Maine’s public, institutional, and politically entangled Church, a sobering question must be asked: Has the glory departed while the religious machinery continues operating?

THE GLORY DID NOT DEPART WITHOUT WARNING

The tragedy of Ichabod did not begin when the Philistines captured the Ark of the Covenant. It began when corruption was tolerated in the house of God. Eli’s sons treated the Lord’s offerings with contempt, abused their priestly authority, and committed sexual immorality at the entrance of the tabernacle. Scripture declares, “Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the Lord” (1 Samuel 2:12). They wore priestly garments and ministered around holy things, but their hearts did not belong to God.

Eli confronted them weakly but refused to remove them. God rebuked him because he honored his sons above the Lord, allowing family loyalty, institutional preservation, and personal weakness to take precedence over holiness. When Israel later carried the Ark into battle, the people shouted until the earth rang, but noise, excitement, crowds, buildings, religious symbols, and denominational histories are not the glory of God. The Ark was present, but obedience was absent; the symbol remained, but the substance had been rejected.

Israel was defeated, Eli’s sons were killed, the Ark was captured, and Eli died. Then a child was born and named Ichabod because the glory had departed. Maine must hear this warning: a church may retain its cross, pulpit, choir, committees, liturgy, programs, and beautiful building while losing the presence and authority of God.

CARRYING CHRISTIAN SYMBOLS WHILE REJECTING CHRISTIAN TRUTH

Many churches in Maine continue using the name of Jesus while contradicting His teachings. They read from Scripture while denying its authority, speak of love while removing repentance, and proclaim justice while practicing political partiality. They celebrate inclusion while excluding those who hold biblical convictions, and they defend ideologies that confuse children, silence parents, and treat the created body as an obstacle to personal fulfillment.

Paul warned that a time would come when people would not endure sound doctrine but would gather teachers who satisfied their desires (2 Timothy 4:3). That warning is no longer approaching; it has arrived. The serpent’s first strategy was to question God’s Word by asking, “Yea, hath God said?” That same spirit now questions whether God created humanity male and female, whether Jesus defined marriage, whether sexual holiness matters, whether repentance is necessary, and whether Christ is truly the only way to the Father.

Whenever the Church asks culture for permission to believe God, it has already surrendered its authority. Isaiah warned against calling evil good, exchanging darkness for light, and reversing God’s moral order. A church cannot overturn biblical truth and expect to retain biblical authority.

THE CHURCH CANNOT BLESS WHAT JESUS CAME TO REDEEM

Scripture teaches that God created humanity male and female and established marriage as the covenant union of a man and a woman. Jesus reaffirmed this created order in Matthew 19:4–6. This conviction is not hatred, fear, or prejudice; it is the biblical witness of creation, covenant, and holiness.

Romans 1 describes humanity exchanging God’s truth for a lie, while 1 Corinthians 6 identifies sexual immorality and other forms of unrighteousness as incompatible with Christ’s lordship. Yet the passage does not end in condemnation. It declares, “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified” (1 Corinthians 6:11). That is the Gospel: sinners can be washed, captives can be liberated, wounds can be healed, and broken lives can be restored.

This standard applies to everyone. The altar must confront adultery, pornography, fornication, abuse, greed, racism, bitterness, drunkenness, exploitation, gossip, religious hypocrisy, and the love of money. There cannot be one standard for someone struggling with same-sex attraction and another for a pastor hiding adultery, pride, greed, or pornography. All have sinned, all need mercy, and all must come through the cross.

Jesus told the woman caught in adultery, “Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more” (John 8:11). Grace did not stone her, but truth did not affirm her bondage. Jesus opened the door to transformation. When churches bless relationships outside biblical marriage, deny the created distinction between male and female, and remove repentance from the Gospel, they are not leading people into freedom; they are blessing what Jesus came to redeem.

MAINE’S CHILDREN ARE NOT IDEOLOGICAL EXPERIMENTS

Jesus issued a severe warning concerning those who harm children, declaring that it would be better for them to have a millstone hung around their neck (Matthew 18:6). Children do not belong to the state, political movements, medical industries, or activist organizations. They are image-bearers entrusted by God to parents and families as a sacred stewardship.

Psalm 139 declares that God forms the child in the womb, while Genesis 1:27 reveals that humanity is created male and female in His image. The body is not a cosmic mistake, biological reality is not hatred, and a child’s healthy body is not an enemy that must be conquered.

Maine law currently allows certain minors who are at least sixteen years old to consent to nonsurgical gender-transition hormone therapy without parental permission when specific statutory conditions are satisfied. This provision concerns hormone therapy rather than surgery, and truth does not need exaggeration to carry fire. Nevertheless, Maine’s broader definition of gender-affirming health care includes medical, psychiatric, pharmaceutical, therapeutic, and surgical services, raising serious moral questions about medical pathways that can alter sexual development and carry lasting physical and reproductive consequences.

Children experiencing distress concerning their bodies must never be mocked, bullied, or rejected. They need compassionate counseling, careful evaluation, loving parental involvement, protection from coercion, and time to mature. Compassion, however, does not require affirming every conclusion a distressed child reaches, placing adolescents on escalating medical pathways, silencing parents, or celebrating irreversible alterations to healthy bodies.

To Maine’s churches: if you will not stand between children and ideological systems seeking to reshape their identities and bodies, do not call your silence compassion. A shepherd who refuses to guard the lambs has abandoned the shepherd’s calling.

COMPASSION, IMMIGRATION, AND LAW ENFORCEMENT

The Church must welcome strangers, minister to immigrants, feed families, oppose racial hatred, and speak whenever governmental authority is abused. Leviticus 19:34 commands God’s people to love the stranger, while Proverbs 31:8–9 calls us to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. Compassion for immigrants, however, does not require hostility toward law enforcement.

During 2026, some Maine clergy and religious organizations moved beyond pastoral care into sweeping political opposition to immigration enforcement. Hundreds of clergy reportedly signed a letter condemning ICE’s presence and actions in the state, while other faith leaders participated in demonstrations, monitoring efforts, and campaigns against ICE funding. In July, clergy gathered in South Portland to condemn ICE, and one leader compared the federal administration to a dictatorship.

The Church has every right to demand accountability when officers act unlawfully. Romans 13 does not give the state permission to abuse its power, because government is not God and obedience to government is not absolute when authorities command what God forbids. Yet Romans 13 also teaches that civil authority has a God-permitted responsibility to restrain wrongdoing, and 1 Timothy 2 commands believers to pray for those entrusted with authority.

John the Baptist instructed soldiers to reject violence, extortion, and false accusations, but he did not condemn their profession merely because they carried governmental authority (Luke 3:14). Biblical justice holds everyone accountable: immigrants are not beneath our compassion, officers are not beneath our compassion, governments are not above correction, and protesters are not above correction.

When officers commit crimes, they must be investigated and held accountable. When immigrants are exploited or mistreated, the Church should defend their dignity. When laws are unjust, believers should oppose them through lawful and righteous means. But when officers perform lawful duties with restraint, pastors must not train congregations to despise the badge.

The Church must never become the propaganda arm of government, but neither can it become the religious wing of a partisan resistance movement. If your compassion recognizes the immigrant but refuses to recognize the humanity of the officer, it has become partial. The pulpit belongs to Jesus Christ, not to political activists.

WHEN POLITICAL IDEOLOGY REPLACES THE KINGDOM

The Church loses its prophetic voice whenever it allows political ideology to substitute for the Kingdom of God. Scripture commands justice, generosity, care for the poor, protection of the vulnerable, honest labor, personal stewardship, and voluntary sharing. Biblical generosity, however, must not be confused with every political system that uses the vocabulary of equality.

Socialism and communism, particularly in their totalitarian and atheistic expressions, concentrate enormous authority in the state, reduce people to material and economic categories, undermine personal stewardship, and frequently seek to control or marginalize religious conviction. The Kingdom of God does not worship wealth, but neither does it enthrone government. It condemns greed, exploitation, and oppression while refusing to make the state a counterfeit father, provider, savior, and lord.

Psalm 24:1 declares that the earth belongs to the Lord. It does not belong to corporations, parties, governments, or ideological movements. Every system—capitalist, socialist, communist, nationalist, progressive, conservative, or globalist—must be judged by Scripture. No party is the Kingdom, no president is the Messiah, no government is the Father, and Jesus Christ alone is Lord.

CHRIST CANNOT BE REDUCED TO ONE OPTION AMONG MANY

The Church must love Muslim neighbors, defend their dignity, oppose hatred and violence against them, and demonstrate the compassion of Jesus. Loving people of another faith, however, does not require endorsing their theology or presenting Christianity and Islam as equally valid paths to God.

Jesus did not claim to be one possible way among many. He declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). The apostles likewise proclaimed that salvation is found in no other name (Acts 4:12).

Christians may cooperate with people of other faiths in matters of public safety, disaster relief, neighborhood peace, and human dignity without surrendering the exclusive lordship of Christ. Cooperation becomes spiritual mixture when every faith is treated as equally true. Jesus is not merely one prophet among many; He is the eternal Word made flesh, the crucified and risen Son of God, and the only Mediator between God and humanity.

MAINE’S PULPITS MUST ANSWER BEFORE GOD

Pastors of Maine, this is the hour to examine what has entered your pulpits. Have you preached the whole counsel of God or only what your congregation will applaud? Have you protected people from temporary offense while leaving them vulnerable to eternal deception? Have you condemned governmental misconduct while remaining silent about riots, threats, trafficking, exploitation, and lawlessness?

Have you spoken more boldly against law enforcement than against ideologies drawing children into life-altering medical pathways? Have you defended culturally favored identities while mocking Christian parents, veterans, police officers, conservatives, and Bible-believing disciples? Have you replaced the Gospel with activism, Holy Spirit with political passion, the altar with a committee, and the blood of Jesus with the approval of culture?

Proverbs 29:25 warns that the fear of man brings a snare. If pastors remain silent because they fear losing members, credentials, social standing, financial support, or public approval, then the fear of man has entered the pulpit. Isaiah described blind watchmen and shepherds without understanding because a watchman who refuses to warn is not loving, and a shepherd who refuses to guard is not compassionate.

WHEN A CHURCH REFUSES TO REPENT

Jesus warned the church at Ephesus to repent and return to its first works or He would remove its lampstand (Revelation 2:5). The building did not have to disappear, and the organization did not have to dissolve, for its witness to be removed. A church can retain its property, name, liturgy, choir, social programs, and political influence while losing its spiritual authority and Heaven’s approval.

Jesus confronted Pergamos for tolerating corrupt doctrine and Thyatira for permitting false prophetic influence, sexual immorality, and idolatry. He told Sardis, “Thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead,” and warned Laodicea that its lukewarm condition made Him ready to spew it from His mouth.

When a church refuses repentance, discernment collapses, conviction disappears, false doctrine multiplies, sexual immorality is celebrated, children are left unguarded, and political activism replaces spiritual authority. Ezekiel witnessed the glory depart from the temple because idolatry and abomination had filled the house. The priests and rituals continued, but the glory was gone. This is one of Scripture’s most terrifying possibilities: religious activity continuing after the presence of God has withdrawn.

ICHABOD DOES NOT HAVE TO BE MAINE’S FINAL WORD

I write with grief because I love Maine, and I refuse to believe compromise must have the final word over the Pine Tree State. There is still a Remnant hidden among the pines: pastors who have not bowed, intercessors who still weep between the porch and the altar, parents who will defend their children, young Fire-Brands who reject the counterfeit gospel of this age, and seasoned warriors ready to stand beside the next generation.

God has not forgotten Maine. The same Holy Spirit who awakened New England before can breathe upon her again, but awakening does not begin with political victory. It begins with repentance—when pastors fall upon their faces, churches return to Scripture, secret sin is exposed, religious pride is broken, parents reclaim their responsibility, and Jesus returns to the center.

Joel calls God’s people to return to Him with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Acts 3:19 promises times of refreshing from the Lord’s presence when people repent and turn again. There is restoration for compromised pastors, cleansing for deceived churches, healing for broken people, clarity for the confused, forgiveness for prodigals, and mercy for every religious leader willing to fall upon the altar and tell the truth.

We must return to the Word, the cross, the blood, biblical holiness, the created order, the fear of the Lord, prayer, the altar, and our first love. Only then will Maine’s lampstands burn brightly again.

A CALL TO THE REMNANT OF MAINE

Remnant of Maine, arise—not with stones in your hands, but with fire in your spirit, truth in your mouth, tears in your eyes, and mercy in your heart. We are not declaring war against broken people; we are confronting deception. We are not closing the doors of the Church; we are reopening the altar. We are not declaring sinners beyond hope; we are proclaiming that the blood of Jesus is still powerful enough to wash, sanctify, justify, heal, deliver, and transform.

Love the immigrant and pray for the officer. Defend the child and honor the parent. Expose corruption without embracing lawlessness. Preach biblical sexuality without surrendering to religious hatred. Reject political idolatry and spiritual mixture while keeping Jesus at the center.

Let prayer rise from Portland to Presque Isle, from Kittery to Fort Kent, from the western mountains to the rocky coastline. Let the blood of Jesus be proclaimed, the authority of Scripture restored, the fear of the Lord return to the sanctuaries, and the altars fill again with repentance. Let Maine’s pulpits burn with Holy Ghost conviction, and let the lampstands shine once more.

PRAYER FOR MAINE

Father, I bring my home state before You and ask You to have mercy upon Maine. Forgive the churches that have feared culture more than they have feared You. Forgive the pulpits that have distorted Scripture, blessed what You call sin, surrendered children to ideology, despised lawful authority, embraced political idolatry, and treated the exclusive lordship of Jesus as an embarrassment.

Cleanse the house of God, purify the pulpits, expose hypocrisy, and break the fear of man. Remove false shepherds who refuse to repent, and strengthen every faithful shepherd who continues standing against opposition. Protect Maine’s children, strengthen parents, and guard law-enforcement officers. Give wisdom, restraint, courage, and integrity to everyone entrusted with authority.

Protect immigrants from exploitation, hatred, and unlawful abuse while restoring respect for law, order, truth, and justice. Call prodigals home, heal those wounded by religious cruelty, deliver those trapped in sexual bondage, bring clarity to those struggling with identity, and restore the authority of Scripture throughout the Pine Tree State.

Let Holy Spirit move across Maine with conviction, healing, deliverance, holiness, and transforming power. We decree that Ichabod will not be Maine’s final word, that a Remnant will arise from among the pines, that pulpits will burn again with truth, that altars will fill again with repentance, and that the glory of God will once again be sought above everything else.

We must become the altar where the fire falls again.

    The Spiritual Battle Behind Britain’s Immigration Unrest

    Something is stirring across the United Kingdom. From Glasgow and Liverpool to Kirkby, Taunton, Essex, and other communities, people are gathering to protest uncontrolled immigration, illegal border crossings, asylum hotels, housing pressures, and what they believe is the government’s refusal to hear their concerns.

    This unrest did not appear overnight. In May 2026, 41 percent of Britons named immigration as one of the nation’s most important issues. During the year ending March 2026, the United Kingdom recorded 43,806 detected arrivals through illegal entry routes, including 39,271 small-boat arrivals. The protests now appearing across Britain are the visible evidence of a pressure that has been building beneath the surface for years. (Ipsos, UK Home Office)

    But the Church must see beyond the political headlines. This is not merely an immigration crisis. It is a battle over truth, justice, national stewardship, compassion, identity, and the spiritual gates of a nation.

    THIS BATTLE IS NOT AGAINST PEOPLE

    The Word of God declares:

    “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world.”
    — Ephesians 6:12

    Immigrants are not the enemy. Refugees are not the enemy. Men, women, and children seeking safety or opportunity are human beings created in the image of God. Many have been exploited by criminal trafficking networks, manipulated by political forces, or driven from their homes by war, poverty, and persecution.

    The spiritual enemy is working through lawlessness, deception, exploitation, governmental negligence, public fear, and uncontrolled anger. He does not care which side people stand on, provided he can drive them into one of two destructive extremes.

    On one side, he promotes open disorder without accountability, borders without enforcement, compassion without wisdom, and policies that ignore the legitimate concerns of local communities. On the other side, he seeks to transform public frustration into hatred, racism, intimidation, and violence.

    Both extremes serve the kingdom of darkness.

    BIBLICAL COMPASSION DOES NOT REQUIRE NATIONAL LAWLESSNESS

    Scripture commands God’s people to show compassion toward the stranger.

    “The stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself.”
    — Leviticus 19:34

    But the same Bible also recognizes nations, territories, governments, laws, boundaries, and gatekeepers. Acts 17:26 tells us that God determined the appointed times and boundaries of nations. Nehemiah rebuilt Jerusalem’s walls and appointed gatekeepers because an unguarded city was exposed to disorder, exploitation, and attack.

    Scripture also declares:

    “One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.”
    — Exodus 12:49

    Biblical compassion welcomes the stranger while requiring one standard of justice for everyone. Mercy does not eliminate accountability. Hospitality does not mean abandoning discernment. Loving people does not require a nation to surrender its borders, disregard its laws, or ignore the safety of its citizens.

    A government has a responsibility to know who is entering the nation, prevent criminal exploitation, protect vulnerable people, enforce its laws fairly, and preserve public order. That is not hatred. That is stewardship.

    WHEN LEADERS REFUSE TO LISTEN

    When governments dismiss every concern about immigration as prejudice, they create a dangerous vacuum. When ordinary citizens believe they cannot speak honestly without being shamed or silenced, their frustration does not disappear. It goes underground, grows hotter, and eventually erupts.

    Britain is now witnessing that eruption.

    Peaceful protest is a legitimate expression within a free society. Communities have the right to question government policy, demand secure borders, oppose illegal entry, and call for accountability. Police themselves have affirmed the right of citizens to protest lawfully while preparing for demonstrations and counter-demonstrations in places such as Kirkby and Taunton.

    But the moment protest becomes violence, racial hatred, intimidation, or an attack against innocent people, it crosses a spiritual and moral line. Righteous anger must remain submitted to righteousness.

    “For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.”
    — James 1:20

    The failure of government does not give citizens permission to become lawless themselves.

    THE ENEMY WANTS BRITAIN DIVIDED

    The strategy of darkness is becoming increasingly visible: turn citizen against immigrant, neighbor against neighbor, protester against police officer, race against race, and political faction against political faction.

    If the enemy can persuade Britain that its only choices are uncontrolled immigration or uncontrolled hatred, he wins either way.

    But Heaven offers another path: truth joined with mercy, justice joined with compassion, secure borders joined with humane treatment, and lawful government joined with accountability.

    The Church must refuse the false choice between loving the stranger and defending the nation. We are commanded to do both under the government of God.

    We must be compassionate without becoming naive. We must support lawful borders without surrendering to hatred. We must expose criminality without condemning entire populations. We must protect local communities while remembering that every person standing at the border has a soul for whom Christ died.

    THE REMNANT’S ASSIGNMENT IN THIS HOUR

    The British Church cannot remain silent, but neither can it become another angry political faction. This hour requires watchmen who can discern what is happening spiritually and speak with both courage and restraint.

    The Remnant must pray for governmental leaders to receive wisdom and courage. It must pray for law enforcement officers attempting to preserve peace between opposing demonstrations. It must pray for communities carrying the consequences of failed policies. It must pray for migrants being trafficked, exploited, or deceived. It must also pray that violent agitators, criminal networks, and those seeking to use this unrest for hatred will be exposed and restrained.

    The Church must call for:

    • Secure and lawfully administered national borders.
    • The dismantling of human-trafficking and smuggling networks.
    • Equal enforcement of the law for citizens and newcomers.
    • Protection for genuinely persecuted people.
    • Accountability from political leaders.
    • Protection for communities affected by irresponsible policies.
    • Peaceful public engagement without racism or violence.
    • A recovery of Britain’s spiritual and national identity under God.

    This is not a call to hostility. It is a call to righteous order.

    For some time now, Holy Spirit has kept my attention fixed upon what is unfolding across the pond—not to produce fear, suspicion, or hostility toward people, but to sharpen our spiritual discernment. I believe He has been preparing me to develop spiritual-warfare strategies for the Remnant in America, because the same powers of deception, governmental disorder, division, intimidation, and spiritual compromise that have gained influence in the United Kingdom are seeking greater access within our own nation.

    We must understand that our warfare is not against flesh and blood, immigrants, refugees, or any people group; it is against the spiritual forces exploiting human suffering, failed leadership, public anger, and national confusion to weaken the gates of nations and divide their people.

    Therefore, I call upon the Remnant in America to stand in the Spirit with our brothers and sisters across the United Kingdom. Let us arise in prayer, intercession, and righteous decree, declaring that Heaven is releasing a powerful, Holy Ghost-filled reformational wind across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. We decree that watchmen will awaken, compromised pulpits will be cleansed, courageous voices will arise, and the saints will become united beneath the lordship of Jesus Christ.

    May the ancient wells of revival burst open again, may the fires of prayer sweep across the land, and may the Church stand tall without fear or compromise. Together, we decree: United Kingdom, return to the Lord! Let righteousness be restored within your gates, and let Jesus Christ once again be exalted throughout the land!

    A PRAYER AND DECREE OVER BRITAIN

    Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lift the United Kingdom before Your throne. We ask You to release wisdom, courage, and righteous judgment over those entrusted with its government.

    Expose every trafficking network, corrupt agreement, criminal enterprise, and political deception that profits from human suffering. Protect the innocent, defend vulnerable communities, and bring justice to those who have been exploited.

    We decree that the spirit of violence will not hijack the legitimate concerns of the British people. We decree that racism, hatred, intimidation, and lawlessness will find no place to take root. We declare that truth and mercy will meet, righteousness and peace will embrace, and Britain’s gates will be governed with wisdom.

    Awaken the watchmen. Strengthen the righteous. Give the Church courage to speak truth without hatred and demonstrate compassion without surrendering discernment.

    Let Britain remember the God who carried her through war, revival, hardship, and transformation. Rekindle the fires of prayer that once burned across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

    May righteousness be restored within her gates, justice within her government, truth within her streets, and the fear of the Lord within her people.

    In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.

    The Battle for a Nation’s Destiny and the Remnant That Will Not Bow

    We need to face reality.

    The dangerous rise of socialist candidates in this nation cannot be stopped politically — not by moderate Democrats, if there are any left, and not even by the most conservative Republicans.

    Why would I say that?

    Because what is fueling this rise of socialism is not merely political. It is spiritual.

    Socialism, at its root, carries the fingerprints of demonic systems that seek to take people captive, rob them of personal responsibility, weaken families, silence truth, and steal not only the destinies of individuals, but the destinies of entire nations.

    The only true answer is not another political slogan.

    The answer is the Remnant.

    I am talking about the Remnant who have weighed the cost and found that nothing is worthy of their full allegiance but the King, His Kingdom, and His righteousness.

    This is a spiritual battle.

    And the compromised, complacent, Americanized Church has neither the power to stop it nor the discernment to recognize what is really taking place.

    But history has always shown us one thing:

    Every time light encounters darkness, light wins.

    The hour is late, but the King still has a people.

    And when the true Remnant rises, darkness does not get the final word.

    We must become the altar where the fire falls again.

    Part Two — The Remnant Awakening: Confronting the Masquerade of Modern Religion

    A fierce awakening is shaking the foundations of the modern Church, for the Lord is exposing the ancient masquerade that has long impersonated His voice. The spirit of religion has always feared the rise of true sons and daughters because once they awaken, its reign collapses instantly. It hurled its fiercest weapons at Jesus—legalism, accusation, manipulation, and the machinery of religious power—yet “having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them” (Colossians 2:15). Leonard Ravenhill once said, “The only reason we don’t have revival is because we are willing to live without it,” and that indictment now confronts a generation lulled by religious performance. But the Remnant is no longer willing to live without the fire of God.

    This spirit has not merely opposed the Church; it has counterfeited it with frightening precision. It has built sanctuaries that resemble theaters more than temples, pulpits that resemble stages more than altars, and ministries that resemble corporations more than Kingdom outposts. It has trained leaders to become performers, shepherds to become celebrities, and congregations to become consumers. Mario Murillo has warned, “The greatest threat to the Church is not persecution—it is imitation,” and the imitation is now being unmasked. Scripture commands, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2), yet religion has conformed many to the world’s methods while denying the Spirit’s power.

    The Remnant sees through the façade with eyes sharpened by the Spirit. They have grown weary of fog machines that replace the cloud of glory, weary of choreographed worship that replaces surrendered hearts, weary of polished sermons that replace prophetic truth. They recognize that the spirit of religion has offered a Christianity that requires no repentance, no consecration, no cross, and no fire. David Wilkerson once said, “A gospel that does not confront sin is not the gospel,” and the Remnant refuses to settle for a message that comforts the flesh while starving the spirit. They hunger for the Word that pierces soul and spirit, dividing joint and marrow.

    The shaking of the last three years has been a divine intervention, a mercy disguised as disruption. The Lord has been dismantling the altars of man-made religion, exposing motives, revealing cracks, and calling His people back to the ancient paths. Ravenhill once thundered, “The Church used to be a lifeboat rescuing the perishing; now she is a cruise ship recruiting the promising,” and the shaking has revealed just how accurate that warning remains. But the shaking is not meant to destroy—it is meant to awaken. It is the trumpet blast calling the Remnant to rise.

    The Remnant Ecclesia is emerging from this shaking with a resolve that cannot be manipulated.     Many misunderstand what Scripture means when it speaks of a Remnant gathering. They imagine wall‑to‑wall crowds, massive numbers, and visible influence. But biblically, that has never been how God measures authority. In the Kingdom, size has never equaled strength, and popularity has never equaled power. The Remnant is not defined by how many attend, but by how many are aligned.

    Throughout Scripture, God consistently works through the few who are yielded, consecrated, and obedient. Gideon did not overcome Midian with thirty thousand; God reduced the number until only three hundred remained—men whose posture, discernment, and readiness marked them as sons prepared for battle. And with those three hundred, God brought overwhelming victory. Heaven does not need crowds to conquer; it needs agreement. It needs faith. It needs obedience.

    The modern Church often assumes that numerical superiority equals spiritual authority. But the Kingdom operates on a different economy. Jesus did not entrust the future of the world to multitudes; He entrusted it to twelve. Elijah stood alone against hundreds of prophets and still carried the authority of heaven. The early Ecclesia turned the world upside down not because they were many, but because they were unified, Spirit‑filled, and governed by Christ.

    This is why there is urgency in this hour to find the Remnant gathering in your town—the place where covenant matters more than convenience, where the Presence is prioritized over production, and where sons and daughters are formed, not entertained. The Remnant may not be loud. It may not be large. But it will be aligned. It will be governed. And it will carry authority.

Measure it by its devotion to truth, its submission to the Holy Spirit, and its willingness to walk the narrow path. Because in the Kingdom of God, three hundred aligned with Heaven are more than conquerors, and a Remnant yielded to Yahweh will always outlast and overcome the multitude.

    This is the hour to discern, not to drift. To align, not to admire from a distance. The Remnant is rising—not in spectacle, but in substance. Not in noise, but in obedience. And if your heart longs for truth, depth, and Kingdom order, then follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. He will guide you to the place where covenant is honored, the Presence is prioritized, and the King is enthroned.

    The call has gone out.

    The Remnant is gathering.

    And Heaven is watching who will respond.
